Description
A photogenic entry in the Geocaching Australia 2018 Spring Racing Carnival Dinosaur race.
Remember to move the dinosaur's on quickly. A quick move is a good move.
Rules of the game
- Dinosaur Racers must be found and hidden by the same geocacher (i.e. no mailing the Dinosaur Racer to another geocacher to hide).
- There is no limit to the number of times a geocacher can find / move the Dinosaur Racer provided there are at least two other finds / moves in between.
- If the Dinosaur Racer has not moved within 7 days and you were not the last geocacher to find or move it then the "rule of two other finds / moves" does not apply and you are free to move the Dinosaur Racer again.
- If the Dinosaur Racer has not moved within 14 days, even if you were the last geocacher to find or move it then you are free to move the Dinosaur Racer again.
- If a geocacher moves your Dinosaur Racer overseas and it remains unfound overseas for 1 week or more, the Dinosaur Racer mover may move your Dinosaur Racer back to the country of origin without breaking the "2 moves" rule.
- There is no limit to the distance other geocachers can move the Dinosaur Racer.

Logs
Road guard on left, coming from Saint Arnaud. Should be room on that side for a caravan to park. Sharing the guard with A18404.
Dig, dig, dig...nothing...dug some more and found a cache box, then this one underneath. Dinosaur and log are good. Will move Camerasaurus on. TFTC Baktrak.

Caerasaurus is getting closer to where he started his journey. He is resting near a small creek enjoying the tranquility.
Back in Gawler and moved him so he could be with some friends.

Hi Baktrak
A lovely days caching at New Norfolk today
Managed to grab a few moveables along the way; this one of yours being one
Sainted the cache quickly at 1035 hours near a lovely scene on the Derwent River
Enjoyed the New Norfolk market after caching
Had tea at the Cannery in Dunalley on the way back to Taranna
Thanks for helping us to enjoy our day caching
Cheers OldSaint

Found this one while on the way back from seeing some clients in the Burnie Area. TFTC
We've had this moveable cache for too long so finally back out ready for it's next move
Found this moveable cache while having a relaxing lunch in Penguin with cachers recently returned from the mainland. Nice to see some of the dinosaurs are still travelling. Thanks for the cache
After a freshen up this dinosaur was ready to be collected. We will track it on a little trip before releasing it on the small island.
This poor dinosaur seems to have survived a bushfire and is kind of a bit of ash in a bag with a bison tube - i might see if I can use some magic and get this one looking fresh again.

Cache has been found. Previous finder could not relocate it and it has been passed on to me.
Will be back out in the field of play within a week.
Cache be un-archived Baktrak.

Cache has been with the previous finder for almost 6 months. To avoid others looking for a cache that is not in the stated location, this cache is being archived. If it appears again, it can be reinstated…
GCA 4,352. Picked this gut up on my recent trip.

Grabbed this one as we went past today. Will be put back out in the wild again soon...
At last I have time and enough energy to move some of these fellows on
Apologies to COs for the huge length of time it has taken. This little fellow has a great view. It is a grand place to stop for a cuppa or to camp overnight as I am doing.

Saw what I thought were some new Moveables arrive in a local spot so grabbed them on my way out of town only to discover that I had already seen these caches earlier this year so I will have to move them on as quickly as possible. Thanks for the hide Black Bunny and the cache Alnic39.

We decided to get out for a weekend drive and decided to drop in and grab this cache as we passed by.
A quick stop to sign the log here today.
Thanks for the cache.

Road trip! Black Bunny, Just a cacher, and two dogs hit the road. Picked up.
I'm staying in Dubbo for a couple of weeks. Today I decided to take my walk a little further out of town and do a little cache maintenance while I was at it.
3 dinosaurs came for the walk with me and decided they liked this reserve so much that they would stay on there for a bit.
For quick retrieval rather than a nice walk and geocache hunt, there is a gate here: S32 19.592 E148 45.906

Will you look at that! An odd bunch of folk came and visit me at my camp site. I'm happy to pick them up and move them along, however, it could be a while before I'm allowed to go anywhere. Who knows.
This poor fella has seen better days. Just a lump of plastic now. Tuena has added a new bison tube.

Virtual move only so don't look here as will be picked up soon.
Initially didn't find it & was about to leave when I noticed something - the cache container & some burnt plastic. The bush wasn't affected by the recent bushfire as the forest had been subject to hazard reduction. The O ring has melted so will replace the container & see how I go at attaching the burnt offerings. Bison tubes never die. Thanks.
(A couple of zip ties, new bison, logbook, the originals & all in a plastic bag to keep it tidy as ash is messy).

His colour is a perfect match for his location. Hopefully the echindosaurus which is about wont find him.
Found in the company of many others of the wandering kind - thanks to rogerw3 for the exchange.

For each qualifying geocache that you hide or find during the game period you will be offered the opportunity to click on a ground tile and reveal what lies beneath.
A moving cache, by nature, may have been moved since you last determined its location. It may have been picked up but not yet rehidden so it's considered 'in-transit'. There is no foolproof method of determining where a cache is simply by the log types that have been placed against the cache.

Headed up to Ebenezer with LuckyL10n to attend the Aussie Day event. 45 degree day made for a bit of a fun trip, however it was pleasant in the winery building. A good few hardy souls were in attendance as well as over 100 moveables. Some good conversation with cachers not met before and a good couple of hours was had by all. The trip home was a little different to what was expected but turned out ok....
Thanks to all the CO's for the caches...

Called into Tizzana Winery to buy some wine and saw the moveables and the list. The family wanted to continue on so said "Hi" to a few we'd previously met then headed on with some wine. Diolch for the moveable. I didn't pick up any.

Attended the 'Australia Day Moveable Event 2018' and came face to face with other like minded cachers, one being another lucky (luckyl10n) and 101 moveables in the area. Many thanks to the CO's who have published them over time and others who bought them together for the event.

#GA3409 - 17:00; I didn't make it to the prisoner exchange today, but I did manage to get my name onto the log sheet as the posse headed through the northern suburbs on their way into the National Capital for a bit of touring and sightseeing. TFTC Baktrak

Grabbed from Tuena at a catch up in Wingello. Great to make a few finds and then sit in the comfort an air conditioned café with coffee and muffins.
Thanks to Tuena for the meeting and to the CO for the cache.

The latest Geocaching Australia game runs from 01-Dec-2018 00:00:00 to 31-Jan-2019 23:59:59 AEST
This new game is about the choices you make in the experience of the journey or the destination.
For each qualifying geocache that you hide or find during the game period you will be offered the opportunity to click on a ground tile and reveal what lies beneath. There are a number of different ground tiles that will be revealed when you click on your playing field. It should be noted that there are no punishments for clicking a tile but there will not always be the reward you were hoping for as you reveal each tile
Meandering around and avoiding the path will accumulate points that will be used to place on you the ladder of wanderers. The more you stay off the path the higher the number of points you will accumulate and it will be your journey that will be the determining factor in whether you place into a prize winning position. You are free to select any ground tile to click on; they do not need to be next to each other.
Trying to find the path may mean you strike out on the dirt until you eventually come across the path and as a geocacher who can't say that this isn't a tried and true method. Once you find the path however will you try and follow the path as it changes direction around your playing field? Do you go North, South, East or West to try and find the next concrete tile along the path? If you head one way are you heading towards the start or towards the destination? When you do happen upon the destination tile then you will automatically be in a winning position.
At any point you are free to change from the journey to the destination and vice versa but you won't be able to regenerate your playing field. You are also free to keep playing as long as you have qualifying geocaches, accumulating more and more dirt tile points and placing you higher and higher on the ladder.
A moving cache, by nature, may have been moved since you last determined its location. It may have been picked up but not yet rehidden so it's considered 'in-transit'. There is no foolproof method of determining where a cache is simply by the log types that have been placed against the cache.
