Logs
Had a trip to the North East today so decided to make a short detour on Banca Rd. It’s amazing what you can find down little dirt tracks. Found cache in good condition. Signed log and replaced. Took a couple of happy snaps of the weir then I was on my way. TFTC .

A 4x4 Trip with my good mates Toolbox Tas and Swampy(aptly called our 'Fluid Tour' because we made it mostly up as we went along)brought us to this cache. After logging our find Swampy kindly ensured the snake he spotted by the water was out of our way so I proceeded to flick a lure in the somewhat murky stagnant water, the look on their faces when I reeled in a lovely looking healthy wild Brown Trout was GOLD
Thanks for the cache Tassie Trekkers and the chance to wet a line which I also love doing
red tag (Cathy)

Found on the Fluid February Tour of Tasmania by ToolboxTas, red tag, Swampy and muggle Steve.
A quick find once in the area and the plan was to continue along the track towards Old Port Rd. We had a long hard look at the weir but were not happy with any of the ways to navigate the water crossing.
red tag got out the fishing gear and actually caught one!
Thanks for the cache Trekkers!

The goose told me of a warning in Sirus log of a large waterhole so I parked at the start of the track and walked the 500m to GZ with a couple of go arounds of puddles we covered the ground quickly and were soon adding our names to the logbook.
All is good with the cache.

We had read the previous log by sirius Tas and decided it was best to just park on the side of the road and walk in to GZ. A couple of 'wet patches' saw us detouring around to keep our feet dry. A quick find by SSR at GZ. A nice big cache, all clean and dry.

Hi Tassie Trekkers...hard to believe only 2 previous finds in over 2 yrs.
Oh how caching has changed.
The track in was very wet after so much rain but was easy enough until a major waterhole.
Thought the bottom would be hard but was deeper and softer than expected so required a few more herbs to push through...bucking bronco style...front legs in the air then the back legs with muddy water flying all over.
Worst part was having to go back through on return.
After seeing the weir I get the feeling I'd been there before when working for FT up this way.
The cache was soon found and in top condition.
Back through the muddy hole....bronco style again.
Many thanks for a top cache and a very muddy 4wd... ...cheers ST.

One of several caches we picked up this weekend. Got to the Weir easily in the Subi, decided to stop there and have some lunch. We were entertained by 4 guys on motorbikes heading across to Gladstone. Found the cache and headed off to our next one. TFTC.

After a hectic four weeks of family events we had set today aside for a caching trip to the north east. It was very hot and as we were in our ancient corolla the only air con we had was open windows. Are we getting less tolerant of the heat?
When we arrived at the road junction we decided to walk the 400m to the cache as there was a nice breeze. Due to the high temperature there was little evidence of wild life except for the odd skink basking on a rock.
We spotted a possible hide from the track and soon discovered a well hidden, large Trekkers cache container. Container and contents were in excellent condition and the log was blank providing us with a {FTF} at 12:45 - an added bonus on a very hot day. We then moved on to the nearby GC cache.
Thanks Tassie Trekkers for the cache and an added reason to visit Boobyalla Weir, a particularly beautiful little spot.
