Thanks to the good codriver skills of the goose we were able to find a way into this area that we missed having tried a couple of side 'roads' and loop 'roads' wemade it to the dam wall but parked 50% of the way across due to it being so wet and walked the rest and soon made a quick find.

Thanks for another great sized cache.

We had missed the track into here on our way south. We tried another one, but it looped us back around to the road. I spotted a stumpy road on the GCA app map so suggested we return and try it. It was the correct one and went a lot further than the map showed. We bailed out before the end of the dam wall and walked the rest of the way as it was very sloppy. Another good size cache.
Thanks Tassie Trekkers

Hi Tassie Trekkers...found my way into the cache and dam wall but drove to 200m of gz as the dam wall from here was very soft and didn't want to get bogged up there.
As my old boss from FT used to tell us..."it's way better to walk for 5 than push for 10".
Off to gz alongside where a massive channel had been cut for the spillway.
Had no trouble locating the cache as it was completely out in the open next to log.
A bit befuddled as to why it had been left like that.
It did have a small amount of water in...so drained with log all ok.
Rehid the cache as per hint so should be ok.
Many thanks for another interesting area...vrry much appreciated...cheers ST.

A good place to stop & boil the billy while exploring the area and picking up a few caches. Track was a bit slippery after the recent rain, but the Subi made it in ok. Very Happy TFTC

We had set today aside for a caching trip to the north east. It was very hot and as we were in our ancient corolla the only air con we had was open windows.

After finding the nearby GC cache, Clarence Dam we carefully made our way along the track in our low clearance all wheel drive corolla. Although the road was rutted in places our vehicle managed it with out difficulty - it may be a very different situation in the wet.

Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find of another well hidden cache container. Container and contents were in very good condition although we did have trouble securing one clip that is slightly distorted. Another blank log rewarded us with our second {FTF} for the trip at 13:40.

Thanks for this cache Tassie Trekkers. We enjoyed our drive in and especially enjoyed the dam and the magnificent sandstone cliff along the spillway channel.
