Description

While driving home from an event at St Arnaud, we drove past this solar farm and thought it was worth a stop to check it out.    There's not much else out this way, but if you are driving close by, why not stop and have a look.    The cache location is at a slighty higher point so you can see the farm and how far it stretches.    If you're interested, this link has neat aerial shot of the solar farm:   http://edifyenergy.com/

A little info from Mr Google....

Gannawarra Solar Farm is a photovoltaic solar power station in the Gannawarra Shire, 13 kilometres west of Kerang in the Australian state of Victoria. It generates up to 60 MWdc electricity and exports up to 50.61 MWAC to the National Electricity Market at 66 kV.

As for the cache, it is a green preform tube hanging in the tree....so shouldn't be that hard to find.    Hope you enjoy having at looking at farm.....

Found It!
Spotted this one on the second lap of the tree. Despite the cold, the sun was shining here this morning!

Mr Morris has a few weeks off but with border restrictions we thought we'd do a slow lap of Victoria while we had some good weather. We have set up camp at Reedy Lake and today we travelled about to find some caches that have appeared in the area since we were last here. Cache is in very good condition and eventually spotted in the glare from the panels.

After meeting our goals in Swan Hill we headed towards Echuca. On the way Mrs Y'tassie spotted this cache not far from the planned route - 20+ km is not bad. We had trouble spotting the Solar farm on the way to this cache. On the way back we couldn't see how we missed this installation.

Accurate coordinates enabled us to make a quick find of an in your face hide. The container and contents were in very good condition.

Thanks for this cache Sol de Lune. We always enjoy finding rarely found GCA caches. We hope others will look for this cache soon.

Found easily with the coordinates and hint. I’m either the first person to first it or the log has just been replaced. Be careful of the ants
