Plough and Harrow West is a short bushland walk from Plough and Harrow East, and is perfect for picnicking and open space play with large shelters suitable for bigger groups. The area is accessible for visitors with limited mobility. Plough and Harrow West have its own parking area.

Picnic Shelters: Choose from 12 shelters. Eight are available for hire, the rest are left open for people to use free of charge on a first-come first-served basis. Hire a Shelter.

Barbecues: 16 electric barbecues are available for use, free of charge. Please clean up after yourself. BYO portable gas barbecues are allowed, but heat bead or coal barbecues are not permitted here.

Toilets: Toilets, including accessible facilities, are available at this location.

Cache – with all caches it’s a walk on the wild side – well maybe not in this area. Basically, a short walk in the bush which has many walking tracks / cycle tracks from the main grass area & from the formed walking track. So, it’s up to you how you tackle this 1, the short way or the easy way – its up to you. Cache is a very small regular for me – a 1 litre container with swaps.

Didn't think I was going to be lucky here but saw a hint of blue and after a bit of digging I had the cache in hand

Went for a lengthy walk after the event today to try and find these unloved caches. Unfortunately, I do believe this one is gone. I found the horizontal log, lots of mud either end and nothing anywhere nearby, its either been washed away or taken, really not much concealment possible here any more.

Found with rogerW3. The terrain was different than what I was expecting. (More MrTs type of terrain.) After yesterdays rain the ground has turned muddy and sticky. Unfortunately I left my hiking pole in the car and had to improvise with a stick. Eventually located the cache. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC

For thomo31 and I this series turned out to be our nemesis, we did take some time and wandering to find our way to this cache, we got there eventually and the cache was found in good condition.
I have to admit this part of the reserve is not to my liking but a cache is a cache...
Thanks for the cache.

#GA3460 - 12:00; In Sydney for the day with Sol de lune on a caching run which included the four caches in this series. Sdl had #1-3, so I was solo on this find. Parked the geomobile and headed across the park and into the scrub. This was a nice quick find and sign on the large cache to open the account. I'm surprised that I'm the 2tf, as I'd have thought more of the city dwellers would have taken the opportunity to visit the park and surrounds for the many caching opportunities in the area. Heading to Western Sydney to attend the Meet Moveables event and after grabbing a load of jigsaw puzzle caches down in the Southern Highlands, this was my next stop. Was a little surprised that I was the only car in the car park for a public holiday, however the 39 degree temperature may have had something to do with that little fact.

Once parked, the backpack was filled with a few water bottles, the sunscreen re-applied and I was off. Took the straight line approach to start (across the lush green grass) before coming across one of the tracks. Follow that for as long as I could before heading bush to make the find. Good size...and very well stocked...container was in hand and the log was soon being signed. Cache was repacked, replaced and recovered before the first of few drink breaks was taken. Sure as hell was hot.

Thanks for this FTF HansJJ….off for number 2 now.
