Description

ICEM - Bundanoon.

This cache is part of the I've Cached Everywhere, Man (ICEM) project, a series of Geocaching Australia caches in Australia.   The series had it's first airing in 2011 and in 2018 Geocching Australia is promoting the series again in the hope the number of caches in the series can be increased.

The series is made up of the locations made famous by Lucky Star in the song "I've been everywhere" in 1962, lyrics by Geoff Mack.

Bundanoon is located in the Southern Highands of NSW, south of Moss Vale and to the north of Wingello.   A small rural town that in July 2009 started the "Bundy on Tap" program, a community initiative, declaring itself opposed to the sale of bottled drinking water on environmental grounds.   Local businesses instead committed themselves to filling re-usable bottles with tap water on request. The issue was to protest against companies that extract water from the town's groundwater.

Damn, reading the last 2 logs, it looks like this one is gone. Hopefully someone else can add one here to keep the ICEM theme going.

Thanks to those who found it.

No find here today.

Only just managed to find this today. I got a stick and started scratching around deep into the leaf litter. First i found the base, then the pen, then the plastic front of the logbook (something appears to have eaten the rest), and finally the lid. I pieced it all back together, left out the plastic log cover to dispose of later, tried getting the pen to work unsuccessfully, added a piece of waterproof paper, and popped it back where it belongs.

I did a really good job scratching myself up on the raspberry bushes there. Ouch!

Can anyone tell me why there is a piece of PVC pipe attached to the tree across the road? It's obviously not a GC mystery cache as it's too close to another. Is it an animal home thing?

Headed up the highway with fitzy_1965 & GSC2000 on a cold winter's day (definitely not as chilly as yesterday though!)

Spotted some ICEM GCA's along the way and couldn't pass them by.

Quick find today.

I was caching in the area and these 2 ICEM caches popped up on screen - my first of the series. Cool.

Thanks.

Drove straight past this on my last trip. Today I knew it was there, so called in to find it.

Quickly found OK.

Thanks,

After the Wingello camping event, I went a bit further north and was able to collect two GC caches and two GA ones. It is fun to get a few more of these ICEM caches.

Thanks

I've not been GA'ing much this last year, in fact, not geocaching much at all. I decided to jump on GA following a spate of recent logs about my caches and I spotted two new ones in the area. I had been going to come out and get them but one thing and another kept me away. Called by today at 1:05pm and signed log. It was nice to get out and find something easy and local for a change. Thanks for placing the cache Sol de Lune. Very Happy

On my way to Wingello so stopped across the road at the info bay & made my way across the busy road. Then it was just a matter of checking the trees until I saw the camouflage. Seldom record a FTF so most pleased. Thanks Sol.
