Description
A new cache in our Platypus series in Fern Glade
If you tackle the series from the bottom gate this is now the second cache in the series. Part way along the path, surrounded by magnificent manferns, you'll reach GZ at a display board titled Platypus Deamer. The display lists a poem by Jennifer C Richardson and finishes with the words "Let the dreamer within you dream and come alive". Lovely words in a special and peaceful place, please take the time to read the poem and soak up the nature around you.
The cache is a cammoed micro hidden in a fairly obvious spot, no need to disturb any of the plant life, but watch out for people approaching at random.
Please note: This reserve is closed at night so no night caching

Logs
As per budgie’s log, I was finishing an Adventure Cache and ended up here. Log getting full but still a few spots left on it. Nice easy hide, TFTC.

Was in the area completing a Adventure lab, and this cache was certainly worth a quick stop by. Nice hiding spot

3 days off from work, and Geo Kid O joined me on a journey to Stanley and then down along the western explorer road towards Corinna. We have a great time finding a number of caches and driving a road I had not travelled on before.
The Western Explorer road was closed for a while and recently had been reopened with a new bridge near Balfour. Some very interesting sights along the way, with part of the road feeling more like a forest track, and other parts felt like a place where no one else has gone in the past, other than on the road. The open button grass plains were amazing along with the mountain views.
We stayed in Stanely, and the caches in and around Stanely were very good, including one walk to the top of the Nut. Gee that is a steep 400 metre walk.
Thank you for the cache which was part of our journey

I found this one this morning on my way to Burnie, but the log roll is soaked, tried but couldn’t sign my name so I didn’t want to log a find until I write my name on the log. Unfortunately I didn’t have a spare log roll with me.
Will pop back once the log has been replaced to log my find. TFTC

This has to be one of our favourite places in Burnie.
But unfortunately we were under pressure today to get as many GCA caches as possible so we only made the short walk to GZ and then returned.
A quick find in the obvious place. Thanks.

Hi sharnies
A quick "raid" on the NW Coast to look for GAs proved to be a long day
I travelled just short of the 900 km
My total finds cost me 11034 steps; 1825 calories in walking 8.58 km to make them
Left the car parked on the road and had a small bush bash to the cache
I had a quick find and the cache was Sainted at 1118 hours
Enjoyed the walk and the smell of the bush
TFTC and cheers

We had planned to come North to visit family in Launceston over the weekend but decided to take the long way detouring via Sisters Creek and Tullah to collect 2 dragon zones we did not have. Along the way we targeted a few caches and this was one of them. We left the car on the road and walked in as it was nearly dark. Cache located with aid of the good hint. Log damp. There were so many caches we went past as time was limited, but it gives us a reason to return. We travelled over 700 km and are still not home. TFTC

Thanks for the cache Sharnie's tribe. RLD4963 were staying nearby for a few days and we decided to spend a morning here exploring this beautiful reserve. We had our fingers crossed for spotting a platypus but we had no luck today. Found the cache at GZ but the log is soaked - we did manage to add our names to the log but it could do with replacing. Thanks for giving us a reason to visit this beautiful area.

Decided to head to Burnie today for lunch and a spot of shopping. After we gorged ourselves on fish frenzy. We decided to head to the nursery to buy a small tree to place in the front garden. As it is looking a bit bare. Found our tree for the garden. Still feeling full from lunch, it was time to go for a walk and grab a couple of caches as well. We do love this place, so relaxing walking beside the river.
This one took about two seconds to find. Log was soggy but managed to sign and replace. It appears that the o-ring isn't doing its job properly. Thanks Sharnies' TFTC

Mrs Y'stassie had to run some errands in Burnie so had to visit Fern Glade on the way to look for this recently published cache. The area was empty when she arrived so she was able to make her way to GZ and search without interruption. After a short time she spotted the well disguised container and was delighted to find a blank log sheet. A {FTF} for us at 14;30. Cache was in excellent condition.
As she replaced the container she looked up and spotted a little muggle sitting in the middle of the path washing its face. Ablutions completed the little potoroo hopped off into the undergrowth. She had only gone 5m from the hide when she spotted an echidna nosing around in the leaf litter under a manfern. The wild life was certainly active today however there were no platypus visible from the observation deck.
Thanks for this cache in a lovely area that is well worth multiple visits. A very enjoyable caching experience for one of us today.
