Description

This cache is part of the I've Cached Everywhere, Man (ICEM) project, a series of Geocaching Australia caches in Australia.   The series had it's first airing in 2011 and now in 2018 Geocaching Australia is promoting the series again in the hope the number of caches in the series can be increased.

The series is made up of the locations made famous by Lucky Star in the song "I've been everywhere" in 1962, lyrics by Geoff Mack.

Verse 4

I've cached in Ettalong, Dandenong, Woodenbong, Ballarat,
Canberra, Milperra, Unanderra, Captain's Flat,
Cloncurry, River Murray, Kurri Kurri, Girraween,
Terrigal, Fingal, Stockinbingal, Collaroy and Narrabeen,
Bendigo, Dorrigo, Bangalow, Indooroopilly,
Kirribilli, Yeerongpilly, Wollondilly, don't be silly.

Have fun with this cache, and if you think you can add to the growing list of ICEM caches, check out this link to see what locations might still require one...or two.

Ettalong is located on the Central Coast in NSW.  It is a quiet village by the sea side, situated near Woy Woy and Umina. Ettalong is close to bushland and National Parks for you to explore. There are markets held every Saturday and Sunday.

After hearing the CO mention this in the discussion at the Geocaching NSW event last night, I thought I'd take advantage of a break in the rain to wander around. The cache is in good condition with the log and contents nice and dry. The last time I came around here the sand was covering the base of the steps, now it's just bare rocks after all the wild weather. Hopefully it will soon return. Many thanks for the hide and the addition to the series.

It was late in the day as we took the short walk up the path with few other walkers passing by. I had a look around GZ and spotted an almost covered container which proved to be the cache. A quick log and return followed with still no-one around to disturb us. Thanks for a nice hide, certainly can't complain about the location.

We were in the area for some good Central Coast hiking caches with Banj5150, and noticed this was close-by as the day was ending. We were getting pretty weary after at least 10km of decent terrain walking, and pushed on from the car to this one. It took a good hunt, or dig, as it was buried in the sand, but inside was perfect. We were busted by muggles carting an inflatable boat up the steps as we were re-hiding, replaced as found.... TFTC!
