Description

Should be an easy find in a big muggle place (was the day I hid it).

If you are a fisherman no doubt you will know this place. If not it has a great view of the lake, would be spectacular in winter.

There is a camping ground close by which is quite popular.

The cache is film cannister size log and pencil only.

Logs

It's May-ntenance Month and the Geocaching Ausralia admins are reviewing caches with a string of DNF's. Unfortunately this is one of them.

We're archiving this cache as it appears to be missing. If it reappears or is replaced by the cache owner it can be resurrected by logging an "unarchived" against it.

no find today.

No luck for us today. I think we were at GZ but eluded us sadly. Bitterly cold and trying to snow!

01-Nov-15
As this hasn't been found for 3 years we didn't bother to look but did pop in for a look at the pumphouse

26-Apr-15
It's been quite a while since the last successful find here & with two DNF's preceeding us we weren't hopeful. We closely examined the circumference of the nearest hint item, then did the same to the items at the other 3 corners but nothing man-made was located. Judging by the many "gifts" left by some of the locals, the cache may indeed have been muggled by marsupials.
Perhaps we're jinxed though. A quick count tells us that of the 17 robtas GCA hides we've looked for to date, this makes 7 DNF's to 10 finds. Not a good average we'd admit.

Another cache that the trip to the central highlands with oldsaint that I had listed as a must do. I had been here before but was unable to find as the coordinates where leading me to the other side of the structure.

Finally found the cache this time and the log was paper mache. So replaced the job with a new one in the plastic bag. Hopefully this will last longer.

You need to be on the landward side of the strucutre. I had coordinates of s41 59.290 e146 51.660

Lovely spring day and trying to find a few caches in the area. Started looking in slightly the wrong spot but the hint helped and a cache was found. The big slug I disturbed wasn't too happy though.

Log inside was quite damp but able to write on it still. Ground very wet from recent snow but lovely location and took some photos. TFTC.

Found on our 450klm Highland Loop round trip. What a great area to explore we enjoyed every moment of it. This cache was one of ten we found on the day.

Several muggle fisherman about but managed to find the cache, had to check several rocks before success. TFTC

Looked around all the big rocks until I came to the right one. TFTC

An easy find. Thanks

16-Feb-11
Well, what can be said except that it was very... pumphouse-y? A somewhat desolate kind of place where pumps and pipes and water and fish are king. The pumphouse rose like some kind of metallic growth beside the lake shore. There were a few other cars about, but the muggles were all out on the lake somewhere under cloudy skies. Got a bit of a sinking feeling when looking at all those rocks by the parking area, but thankfully the cache was in a more sensible place and found after a short search.

Found in company of Runciple, easy to find I had wodered how others had found it by torchlight but can understand it now. Thanks ROBTAS

Got led astray and ended up in Flintsone drive by Tom Tom but ended up in the correct place when I fired up the Garmin. Thought that it had been mugled when I saw a pen on the ground. All was well with the cache nice and dry. Thanks ROBTAS for leading me to a place that I would never have discovered otherwise, It must be magnificent travelling up here in winter. Thanks Robtas

Like the previous finder no luck until a wider search was made. It had to be one of the four and it was. TNLN. TFTC!

03-Nov-10
We didn't have any luck right on GZ (got wet feet instead) but we widened our search area and eventually found the cache. Not much activity here today - no water coming down the penstock (at least we could not hear any water flow) and only one hardy person fishing. TFTC

Found this one today after an unsuccessful fishing trip to the big pond over the hill (Great Lake) Had a quick look a couple of months back but there was a few Muggles about that day so didn’t really look to thoroughly as I may have drawn a bit to much attention.
TNLNSL Thanks RT for another good one.
