Description

A collection of money displayed in a public place

EAfter searching to see if there was something else like this, by trying to find a similar Locationless using words such as money, cash, dollars, moulah, dosh, etc., I reckoned it was safe to publish this one.

In various places around this great country of ours I have seen collections of money displayed in odd places, vaguely recalling some on ceilings  in pubs, and thought others may like to share their finds.

Each location can only be used once.

You may log as often as you like provided that there is at least one other claim between yours.

The money in the display must be real.

CONGRATULATIONS to riokun who was the one to claim the FTF Honours

KYNUNA
QUEENSLAND

Passing through here I stopped at the Blue Heeler Hotel in Kynuna for a "Counter Attack" aka "Counter Meal". Had a quiet quencher while waiting for the meal. Admired the various currencies whilst there. Very Happy

Barrow Creek Northern Territory.

Just a pub in the middle of nowhere.

I took this photo and just remembering now to log it.

Plenty of cash on display here.

This place is more famous for the dissapearance of Peter Falconio the British back packer.

TFTL Very Happy

The Little A'le Inn, Rachel, Nevada...

The only place you can stop when caching the ET Highway series of caches in Nevada is the Little A'le Inn. Accommodation isn't much, just a few transportable huts with a few bedrooms, however it was where Albida, Mtrax and I stayed for a night when doing the ET series. The owner is well aware of caching and welcomes you to stay a while, which we did. The food was good, the beer cold (after a full day of caching) and the roof of the Inn is cover in money. Notes from all over the world, however the majority are US $1 bills. Looks rather amazing. Photos of the money, as well as a couple of others, are attached.

Thanks Cybergran V...

We were coming back from Port Augusta when we stopped at The Vault Cafe at Melrose, just north of Clare. The cafe has been established in a former bank and the new owners have made an interesting link to the past. In the entrance is a "Welcome" sign made from coins stuck to the floor. When you go into the cafe, there are more coins stuck to the floor in the shape of feet leading to the counter. There is also a display of some bank notes to the side of the main counter. A number of photos have been added to the Gallery to show what we saw during our visit. Thanks Cybergran V for an interesting cache.

GCA 2,366. Another neat Locationless cache.

I traveled through Daly Waters NT twice during my trip to the Red Centre Experience Event - staying the night there the second time. The legendary Daly Waters Pub has all sorts of stuff on its walls and ceiling - including money !

Its a neat place to visit - highly recommended.

TFTC !!

I hope this counts - In Adelaide for work and taking a stroll down the streets. At several places there are coins - Australian and foreign - concreted into the sidewalk. I was a bit amazed that no-one has tried to chip out any coins, or maybe someone has and I hadn't seen any evidence. I suppose it makes for an unusual, attractive footpath, and would be cheaper to install than tiles or other artwork.

So, some of the streets in Adelaide are paved with gold! TFTC!

Having collected one daughter and waiting to collect another daughter from Tullamarine airport, we saw this display on the wall at Smokey Joe’s, and had this photo taken here for this Locationless
Now I can’t get the ABBA song out of my brain!
