ICEM -Bundalong

This cache is part of the I've Cached Everywhere, Man (ICEM) project, a series of Geocaching Australia caches in Australia. The series had it's first airing in 2011 and now in 2018 Geocching Australia is promoting the series again in the hope the number of caches in the series can be increased.

The series is made up of the locations made famous by Lucky Star in the song "I've been everywhere" in 1962, lyrics by Geoff Mack.

Bundalong is located on the Murray Valley H'way, Victoria. It is situated on the junction of the Murray and Ovens rivers, which maks it very popular with waterskiers, wakeboarders and fishermen. Bundalong is the Aboriginal name for "Joined together".

Off on a mid week break with Just a cacher to enjoy the sunshine and follow the river for a while when we noticed that this cache was nearby.

After finding a spot to pull over it was a quick grab and then on our way again.

As we travelled along the highway we noticed that there was an ICEM cache at Bundalong so had to stop and look for it. The afternoon traffic rushed by but we were well hidden as we retrieved the container. The container was difficult to open as it had not been opened for 12 months. When we finally coaxed the container open we found the contents in prime condition. After signing the log we wiped the hinges clean before closing the container and hiding it as we had found it.

Thanks for this cache Skullracing. We are always pleased to see another ICEM cache and like the idea of eventually having found ICEM caches in all states and territories.

We're on our way to Wodonga for a few days and decided a drive along the river would give us and easy day with a few GA caches and a couple of GC caches whereas a drive through Shepp and Benalla would mean a very long day finding all the caches around Mokoan. Holidays are meant to be relaxing, not go, go, go.

#GA3966 - 11:25; After a couple of days in St Arnaud for the Mega, followed by a night in Echuca we set off for home this morning with a few more caches on the 'to do' list. After stops in Tongala and Nurmurkah, we had reached Bundalong and were pleased to add our names to the log for this cache, before heading back to Yarrawonga and then north into NSW. The last time I saw Lex he told me this had still not been found, so we came home via Bundalong just to put a signature on the log to make his efforts worthwhile.
We are happy to claim first to find on this one, on our way home from the Clear Waters Mega Event at Queanbeyan over Easter.
