We spent part of today in the Winton Wetlands - a fascinating area for its natural beauty and its rich indigenous cultural history. We looker for three caches in this Wetlands Wander series, finding two but not finding the third. We ran out of time to get to the fourth one in the series.

Solving the puzzle was straightforward. Today accurate coordinates led to a quick find. Unfortunately again, the plastic container had become very brittle and was breaking up. There was a little water in the container, the large hole in the side enabling the water to drain out. The logbook was reasonably dry. Unfortunately we did not have anything with us in the car to effect repairs and maintenance. Thanks Tassie Trekkers for the cache.

Needed some peaceful and quiet space after the Mega event geocaching madness and this was the place for me, container has some issues now with water getting in needs replacing... TFTC

We're doing a loop today from Wangaratta to Wangaratta via the painted silos. Along the way we tried to pick up as many GCA caches as possible. We'd solved three out of four of the puzzles in this series before we left home and decided to wing it with the other one. This cache was an easy find once we reached GZ, don't know about wetlands, very dry here at the moment! TFTC

After getting FTF success at the previous cache, dad continued on to this one, after having solved the puzzle previously.
So one again I had a fair idea where it was after driving past it on a previous occasion...
The big soccer mum car was pulled up on a not so muddy patch, and dad wandered over to find the cache and finally make our mark in the FTF spot.
Nice and quiet around here this afternoon.
Thanks Tassie Trekkers for the cache and puzzle.

This wasn't so much as a "did not find" more of a "did not attempt"......
It all started when we pulled the obvious co-ords from the puzzle, but the checker didn't like that answer, and when they were plugged into the Garmin , it put GZ in a really weird spot out in the middle of the lake in the middle of nowhere....
We even had a go at fiddling with the co-ords to see if we could get them into a more logical location, but a thorough search at each spot came up with zip.
We have our suspicions of a general area as to where the actual GZ might be (much like #4) but it is big an area to try and blindfind.
So we'll keep an eye on this one and try again another time.
Cheers
