Description
Another spot for a selfie
We are heading to the Clear Waters Mega at Queanbeyan and stopped in Holbrook. Goodness, the things you see in the main street. We thought a virtual cache at this spot would be a good idea.
Near GZ there is a submarine.
To log a claim, please take a photo of yourself or a member of your team near GZ or take a photo of the submarine with your GPS in the shot.
The coords are a good spot to park your car. There is plenty of room down the street further to park a caravan or motorhome, just follow the signs..
There is also GC multi and a GA History Cache nearby.

After an extremely busy two-ish months, I was finally able to get out with my new geo-mobile and go Geocaching. I decided it was time to clean up the area between Wagga and Holbrook. This trip was via Mangoplah. I found most of the caches I planned to find. Most were quick finds and others I needed to PAF option. The others I wanted to find, the reasons why I didn’t were either, too many muggles around or I ran out of time. So, I will at some point return to find these caches. As for the day, I enjoyed day out and visiting places I have never been to or has been a long time since my last visit. TB visit. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring the Geocaching enjoyment. TFTC’s!
I'm finally in Holbrook and I spent a few hours caching around the area as well as having lunch. This was one of the caches I found here. This one was a quick find at GZ while completing the nearby AL and then I was off to the next cache. TFTC

We stopped by here for a pitstop, which brought this cache into play. A nice quick find at 15:40 but this was such an experience that I even got CrobDes to grab another shot of me atop the sub a few minutes later.
Thanks whitewebbs.

Even if you've seen it before you can't help being blown away by the awesomeness of a sub in a country town park. I'm sure I have other photos taken here but today I took another. TFTV whitewebbs.

Travelling from Wagga Wagga to Albury and decided to do a short detour through Holbrook to pick up a couple of caches that have been published since the last time we came this way. Had a nice stroll around the submarine, gathered what we needed and then on our way. Thanks for this cache
On a drive down to the Wangaratta Woollen mills, to find some bargains for the wife and stopped here as we passed by.

After a weekend of caching with The Empire, Happy Pants and Happy Feet in Wagga, I headed off by myself for some photographs, sight seeing, GCA's & Waymarks.
An amazing part of history. Thanks for sharing this interesting location. Dancing
I took a stroll whilst I waited seeing the sights, the amazing colours, the natural beauty. Many beautiful spots visited. I love travelling this big land of ours. The geocaches are a great bonus of my day out. As an RAAF veteran, I'm amazed that people could 'live' in these things for any length of time. I'm claustrophobic Sick
Thank you for this cache here. It’s amazing to see the country in the eyes of a Geocacher.
Thanks for highlighting this and for the cache whitewebbs. Clapping More history I wouldn't have known about if it wasn't for caching.

I was travelling to Nariel Creek near Corryong. this made a very pleasant place to stop & stretch my legs. Definitely not what you expect to see so far inland!

An early morning start in Holbrook took us to HMAS Otway. The required photo is attached to this log. Thanks whitewebbs for the cache.
#GA5099 - 12:25; Headed south of the border and dropped in to Holbrook (again!) for a cache and a feed. Grabbed a snap of this familiar sight while researching the local history cache. Decided on a slightly different angle to most of the others pics in the gallery. TFTC whitewebbs

Today we planned on getting a lot further north than Holbrook but we spent too long further south on a few DNF'S and ended up staying here for the night.
We have passed through here a few times before and remember our astonishment the first time we came to find the submarine in the main street.
Thanks.

Pa and I have had a wonderful couple of weeks away starting with the Tumut Invasion which was lots of fun with fellow cachers from ACT and the Goulburn region. We continued on through Omeo, Licola and the Howitt High Plains before dropping down to Mansfield and Bonnie Doon. Today we stopped in Jugiong having made quite a long day of it by collecting as many GCA caches as possible to take advantage of the double points. This was one of those caches and we thank all COs for placing these caches which add interest and fun to our trip.

Found on our return from Queanbeyan. We have stopped here many times over the years so it was nice to have a couple of new caches to find while we had a break. TFTC Whitewebbs
