Description

Take a photo of a decorated bicycle or tricycle

As children we used to look forward to decorating our bikes for the annual church fete and riding them proudly in a circle to see whose would be chosen as the best in each category. It seemed to be a thing of the past until I saw a recent resurgence of bikes decorated.

I can also remember attaching playing cards to the bikes with clothes pegs to hit the spokes when ridden, to make them sound like motorbikes.

Keep your eyes open to see them again. This isn’t a cache  for going back through your old photo albums.

Congratulations GLISS! On FTF

Recently we were walking along a street in Ulverstone when we saw a decorated bicycle on the front verandah. We have learnt that this decoration is a semi-permanent addition to the artwork displayed on the property. The required photo is included with this log. Thanks Cybergran V for the cache.

THis is a bike we came across on that same walk across England. It took 19 days. This bike was just in Grasmere.

We have seen many decorated bikes while completing in the Saints 'n Sinners held every October in St Arnaud. Haven't got pictures of those though.
Thanks Val for the memories again. I am enjoying lookign back at these trips. ClappingSmile

With the BMX Championships held in Shepparton recently there was a competition for decorated bikes in the city.
There were some great entries, including a fully crocheted bike, a beanie bike, and a BBQ bike which was my favourite.
With a BBQ on the front, an esky on the back, thongs attached for pedals, and various tools, mosquito coils, and fly swat attached.
