Description
This place is a spot we used to come to alot when we were younger to swim during the warmer months and has a very iconic rock known by all the locals, and is very deserving of a cache.
I put this cache higher up the bank than i wanted to so that it doesn't get washed away in the event of a flood.
You can access this area in a 2wd with a bit of ground clearance during dryer months, but during wetter months i would recommend a AWD or a 4x4 as the hills get a tad slippery and you can easily lose traction.
To find the cache you will need to solve the following puzzle:
BAABAAABBBAABAA AAABAAAAAAAAABAAABBBAABAA ABAAABAAAB ABABAABBABAAABAAAAAABAABAAABAAAAABB AAAAABAABA BAAABABBABBAABBBAABAAABBB AABABABBABBAAAABAABABABBA ABBABABBAAAABAA AAABBAABAAAABBABAAAAAABAAAABAABAAAB ABBAAABAAAABBAAAABAABAABAAABAAAABAAABBAA ABBBAABBABABAAAABBAABAABA ABBABABBAAAABAA AABBBBAABBABBAAAAABBBAAAAAABAAAAABB BAAABABAAABABABBAABABABBA ABBABABBAAAABAA AAABBAABAAAABBABAAAAAABAAAABAABAAAB, AABAAAAAAABAAABBAABA ABBABABBAAAABAA AABBBBAABBABBAAAAABBBAAAAAABAAAAABB AABABABBABBAAAABAABABABBA BAAABABAAABABAB AAABBAABAAAABBABAAAAAABAAAABAABAAAB BAABABABAAAABAAABBAABAABABABBA BAAABAABAABAABBAABAAABBAA ABBBAABBABABAAAABBAABAABA AABABABAAABAABBAABAA AABBBBAABBABBAAAAABBBAAAAAABAAAAABB AABABABBABBAAAABAABABABBA BAABABABAAABBAB ABABBABAAAABBAABAABBBAABAAABAABAAAB.
The cache is a black 1 litre bottle with a pathtag for first to find, logbook, pen, and some small swaps.
As you go up the gravel road along the powerlines, on top of the first rise take the first left, then follow to the Y junction, take the right at the Y, stay on this track all the way down to ground zero.
Congratulations to Trimbletas on First To Find.

Quite a high vantage point above the river...lovely spot....which looks more inviting for fishing than swimming atm.
No trouble locating the cache...all in top condition.
Have thoroughly enjoyed exploring some of the tracks in here and appreciate the puzzles as well.
Thanks very much DEZ055...most appreciated...cheers ST.
Found on a Boxing Day caching trip with whitewebbs. Managed to drive till a fallen tree blocked our path then walked the last 380m.
Many thanks Dez055 for publishing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience.

the container and its contents were still in excellent condition.
We initially followed the given directions but weren't confident about one spot so turned around and tried some other options which were all impossible, even in a 4WD.
We ended up going back to the road and starting again but going further along our first attempt. We came across another vehicle and asked the driver if you could get to the river further along. He didn't think so and we thought we had stuffed up again but we kept going and not long after came out at GZ.
Looks like a fairly steep little track down to have a swim but the climb back up would be worse. Fortunately we didn't need to go down there anyway.
Thanks for the cache, one which we have had solved for a long time.
Mrs Y'stassie swam along this section of the river in her youth but had always reached this particular swimming hole from the other side of the river, never via the cliffs. Fortunately she knew how to get to the track from this side of the river and was able to make her way to the hide. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a well hidden cache container. Container and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for this cache and the puzzle DEZ055. There are certainly beautiful views across the river to the farming land from this spot. It was interesting to see the rocks from close up. They certainly don't look as big as they did when we were children.
The cache was an easy find with the hint. TFTC
