Description
Show us your Pathtags !
Pathtags are a very common and popular collectable these days. After attending a Pathtag Swap meet at the recent Gong Mega I thought that this is an interesting Locationless.
Show us the best Pathtag(s) in your collection and tell us why. Pictures please !!
Some of my best are the Trig Find pathtags that rogerw3 sends out when you get to 100, 200, 300 etc Trig finds. Very generous of him I should point out !

In line with amendments made to requirements for listing and finding a Locationess geocache, this geocache has been reviewed and found not be in line with the listing requirements.
https://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Locationless_cache
Armchair style Locationless caches where the finder is not required to explore the real world, identify a location and accompany the "Find" with photographic evidence are no longer accepted.
A Locationless cache listing must require the finder to locate an object or perform a task in the real world, collect the co-ordinates and log the find with accompanying photographic evidence.
The geocaching community would like to thank you for listing this Locationess geocache and congratulations to all that found this locationless geocache.
As the geocache no longer meets the requirements we will archive the cache listing.

I have way too many in my collection to show here so I have added a screenshot of just mine.
If anyone in Australia wants to trade just let me know.

We have never got in to the whole pathtag thing but have a few we have earnt through GCA finds and a few we've collected from other geocachers.
It wasn't until the recent series where you could claim finds on ones starting with certain letters that I looked at the website for them. I logged the last 2 we got as I could remember where and when I got them but as for the rest!! Who knows where and when.
Have included the required photo of our measly collection.
Thanks.

I have just 20 pathways. I have too much else to do to get interested in this caching sideline. Here is a pic, still in their wrappers!

I've got a few in my collection.
I even have my own design still to finish.
One day it will be done.
Not sure exactly how many though.

I have about 300 path tags- certainly not many compared to those very serious collectors. Here is one page from my album.

Very few Pathtags here in Europe compared to woodcoin. Here is a photo of our modest collection of Pathtags.
We Have acquired a few pathtags since joining last year, and are keen to make our collection bigger. we are even designing s plaque so we can put them on display at home.

We have managed to collect quite a few pathtags.
Most we keep on the side of our fridge but some we display in a holder.

The first pathtag I found was a tankengine pt in a rural cache. I had no idea what it was but it was definitely coming home with me.
I'm not an avid collector of pathtags - I really DON'T need another hobby - but I am an admirer. In the photo is one my pathtags and a really lovely one that I have collected in my travels.

I must admit that this side of the game is controlled by Mrs GT54 and she has hundreds of these little blighters ,the picture shows some that are our own and a couple of Ezi tags as well
Pathtags you say...yep, got a few of them. More than geocoins for sure. There are 3 folders full of them, but I don't need to tell you about that. The attached photo shows the GCA collection within my collection. Think there are over 150 of those now...
(I'm regretting throwing out that ring pull I found at the last CITO now - bugger)
Thanks for this one.

Checking out a few locationless caches to fill in the day and get a geocaching fix and came across this one.I have thousands of tags in my collection. It is fun to look through them and remember where they came from. The photo is of my newest tag which was made for GEOVENTURE 2020 but due to the evolving health crisis there will be no face to face trading or event. Just another casualty of this awful virus. At least on GCA we can still virtually cache. Stay well and safe. TFTL

These are my first 6 pathtags on a kumihimo braid I made. They are all my favourites. I now have 9 and have to make a bigger braid
I would love to find an ROT13 pathtag tho as that is the ultimate prize for me.

I have been fascinated with Pathtags since the First Mega event in Australia. I have 24 designs of my own and in my personal collection I have 2014 Pathtags and over 3000 spares.
I must start releasing my spares and the Mega event in Millicent was in the plan to send a few out to others addicted to Pathtags.
The photo is of 225 Pathtags on my study wall. These are part of the triples. Including one board of just GCA Pathtags.
I have every GCA Pathtag that was made available for purchase from the shop plus and many spares as I usually buy 10 of each new GA tag.
I also have some of the special tags like Burke and Wills and Competition winner Pathtags. Favourite tags. They are all special to me. TFTL

Being a keen birdwatcher, our pathtag was designed from a photo of a Gang Gang Cockatoo, that I took in our backyard a few years ago.
I have photographed it with a few other "bird" pathtags in our collection.

My current Pathtag collection only consists of eight unique designs, but I treasure them all and hope to expand the total and perhaps design one of my own one day...
- Becon4046 was found in a cache
- Aix sponsa was found in a cache (but has a wonderfully intricate design)
- locus cache was given to me at The Melbourne Event in 2015 after meeting them at one of the lab caches, very nice of them to do so!
- Surf Coast Event was a freebie in 2016
- Parkville Event was a freebie in 2018
- Sims_family's Melba Gully Glows was an FTF prize (and has a very cool sparkly design)
- Geostuff was ordered from their store
- SnappyTomCats was a very generous freebie in our Geostuff package!
Thanks to Fitzy_1965 for this locationless!

We have over 500 different pathtags in our collection, gained by trading or finding them in caches. It is impossible to identify our favourite. Instead we have added a photo of the 24 pathtags that we obtained during our recnt trip to the northern island. There are two which stand out:
* the Norfolk Island pathtag which we swapped with the CO at the OZGeoMuster in Wollongong in early July (we visited Norfolk Island many years ago, when there were only 6 caches on teh island, and had a great time - fond memories)
* the Doctor Owl signature tag because the owl is one of three favourite virds (the other two being the Eastern Rosella and the macaw)
Two photos have been added to the Gallery. Thanks fitzy_1965 for the cache.

We have many Pathtags in our collection but have only the one of our own so far.
This was designed by myself with technical assistance from OzHockeyChick.
During the design stage I noticed how both our geo-names actually started and finished with cardinal points.
The Primary InterCardinal directions represent our four sons.

My favourite pathtag is one a found a few years ago. It has a lovely story of a widow making a pathtag in memory of her late (geocaching) husband and their favourite spot....Cape Spencer. This is certainly one tag I won't be swapping.

My most recent set of pathtags, and the ones I had to work the hardest for are the complete set of Randolph The Rat ones.
The first notice we had of their existence was a mystery cache as part of the Fish GeoArt for the Mega at Alexandra. The cache told us of this series around Beechworth, Myrtleford, Winton, and Everton.
First you had to solve the 6 puzzles, which were tricky, and find the letterbox, 6 mutis, and a couple of traditional. This entailed some fun weekends away.
Then son dalerious and I set the target of achieving the final mystery cache as my 6000th GC find, and you can see why this set is so special for me.
My grateful thanks to Robmc who makes these sets available free of charge, to those who achieve the task of qualifying for them.
Thanks Fitzy_1965 for this locationless
