Description

Have a photo taken of yourself with Cos lettuce

Wanting to publish a cache beginning with J for my JULY Spelt in July Locationless cache GA12493 where you have to publish 4 caches of different types beginning with the letters J U L and Y, son dalerious suggested this ridiculous cache, and it tickled my sense of humour.

So there it is folks, how simple can it get?

No other type of lettuce can be in the picture to log a claim.

In line with amendments made to requirements for listing and finding a Locationess geocache, this geocache has been reviewed and found not be in line with the listing requirements.

https://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Locationless_cache
Armchair style Locationless caches where the finder is not required to explore the real world, identify a location and accompany the "Find" with photographic evidence are no longer accepted.
A Locationless cache listing must require the finder to locate an object or perform a task in the real world, collect the co-ordinates and log the find with accompanying photographic evidence.

The geocaching community would like to thank you for listing this Locationess geocache and congratulations to all that found this locationless geocache.

As the geocache no longer meets the requirements we will archive the cache listing.

These locationless caches have so many diverse subjects! Nibletricecakes convinced me that getting a photo at the Belconnen Markets (Canberra) in the lettuce section would be a good idea. Maybe she was right because now I have ticked off another locationless. TFTC Clan Cerberus

I took this photo a while ago on a trip to Albury via Gundagai. The Gundagai convenience store had a cos lettuce and I couldn't help myself. Tonight I've finally gotten around to logging it. Thanks for the entertaining cache idea.

Well for the first time ever I bought a twin pack of Cos Lettuce Hearts today.
We've always been iceberg lettuce buyers but the last two I've bought have been quite brown and rotten inside so I thought I'd give this brand a try. Plus it meant I could get another locationless cache.
Thanks, taste test tomorrow.

Like others, this is shot of Cos Lettuce at the supermarket. That is my hand holding the bag...as no-one other than a cacher would be taking a photo of a packet of lettuce.

Thanks Cybergran V...glad you got a J for your cache. Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy

Like the CO, Icecream (our elder grand-daughter's delightful black rabbit) can only have cos lettuce - no other type of lettuce will do, especially iceberg. So it was obvious that Icecream should be in the photo with the cos lettuce, not one of us. The required photo has been added to the Gallery. Thanks Cybergran V for the cache. PS: Our grand-daughter chose the name "Icecream" - no idea why, especially for a black rabbit.

I used to love Iceberg lettuce until I found out it was the prime cause of my diverticulitis. It took a long time for me to isolate the cause. Since I found out I steer way clear of it and, if I have to eat any lettuce, it is just Cos. And so far the attacks have not returned.
Who would have though such an innocent looking vegetable could be the cause of such agonising pain?
A crazy locationless that serves a useful purpose for me, as well as giving me my daily cache.
