Description

The cache is not at these coordinates but it is as good a place as any to start.

By the time you have finished this multi cache you will have visited or passed many places where you learn the history of Irvinebank. So without any further ado here we go.

At waypoint 1.  What type of structure is this? Hint 2 words.

Using the first word, and a well known cipher, add the following to the decimals of the existing south coordinates.

(6th letter x 1st letter) plus (5th letter x 6th letter) minus 5th letter/5

Now using the second word and that same cipher, subtract  the following from the existing decimals of the east coordinates.

(2nd letter x 4th letter) x 1st letter then add (2nd letter x 2).0

At waypoint 2. You should be facing a tribute to Phillip Mesh.

Next to him on the right let           Date  of birth = ABCDEFG                                                                                                               Date of death = HIJKLMNO

S17 H (K+B).EAC E145 IL.B(H+I)(K+J)

Before you leave wander around to learn more about this small town and its inhabitants.

At waypoint 3.  Who does this place belong to?

The owner is an ex tin miner and is passionate about keeping the history alive.

Let the 1st letter = 1; 2nd = 2; 3rd = 3; 4th = 4 and the final letter = 5.

S17 25. (r+n) (i+n)(a+n) E145 12.r (r+n) a

At waypoint 4.

Here there is a plaque that explains more of Irvinebank's history.

After reading the plaque work our how many years between when it was first built and its final lease was cancelled. Now add 9 to this number and then subtract it as 0XX to the south  decimals of those that brought you here. For the east coordinates you will need to use digital root on the number of tons of ore that were crushed in its first operational year and add that to the decimal as 00X.

At waypoint 5.

Now you are in the centre of historical Irvinebank. Please visit and enjoy all that you see before you. Here you can also work out the final coordinates and find the cache within easy walking distance.  Happy caching.

To find the treasure add 017 to the south decimal and subtract 014 from the east decimal.
