Description
Hidden to qualify for the 2020 January Games
Lane Cove was hidden on the 18th May 2000 which made it the first geocache on Australian soil. Geocaching Australia had a small celebration in 2010 called the 10th Anniversary of Geocaching in Australia. 20 years after the first Australia geocache was placed we are now marking the 20th anniversary of Geocaching in Australia. To help celebrate the 20th anniversary of Geocaching in Australia, the 2020 team at Geocaching Australia have worked together to create the 2020 Game of Games rewards which are 12 monthly games based on finding and hiding geocaches at Geocaching Australia.
To qualify for January 2020 you will need to:
- Hide and publish 3 geocaches.
- Geocache type must be traditional.
- The geocache size must be regular or large.
- The hidden date must be in the game month.
- The published date must be in the game month.

A morning detour for a few caches on the way to Burnie ........ and an excuse for coffees at the Berry Patch. The nearby works will make this into a great coastal pathway once a few more connections are completed. Thanks for your cache Trimbletas

I remember the CO telling us to follow the path to the train line. We followed what we thought was a path. Yeah, na not really. We took a moment to find this one, it was a little further west then the GPS wanted up. As we left we headed east along the rail and found a beautiful track back to the road
thanks Trimbletas

We needed a find today to fill a gap on our dragon zone calendar so mr sharnie's tribe headed off on a solo mission to find this one. Tried with the phone ap first with no luck, then tried with the trusty GPS and made a quick find. TFTC
Last of the 8 caches found today. Mr Beetle waited with the bikes while I walked up the well defined track and over the railway lines to this one.
Took a while to spot something that resembled the clue near GZ but once I did a quick find was made.
Thanks.

Last night we went out for a drive to find some caches to get us on the board for the February games and this was one we targeted.
we parked at the circle at the end of the road and walked over the tracks to ground zero, upon approching the area the hiding place was quickly spotted and log was signed. TFTC

A trip to Forth then onto Lake Rowallan was planned, up at 5.30am. Whilst having breakfast we were alerted to new caches. So a slight detour was made, to Turners Beach so took the advantage of collecting a this new cache and also a DNF from a previous visit.
We have been regularly passing within 200m of this cache since its publication but have not had time to make the detour to look for it. Today there was no rush after our trip to the north east so we pulled off the highway and made the short trip passed the Berry Patch to the turning circle. As it was past closing time we had the area to our selves.
Up the track over the railway line and spot on coordinates had us at the hide. We had to wait for our eyes to adjust to the low light before we spotted the container. it certainly blends into the environment very well. We were pleased to find a blank log book giving us a {FTF} at 18:30
Thanks for the cache Trimbletas. We enjoyed our short trip to the other side of the tracks to find a well hidden cache.
