Description
As we were heading towards Normanton today we noticed an historic place where there were lots of people pulled up and then we saw the name Black Bull Siding" We presumed people pulled up to see the Gulflander that we had passed earlier, but no, most of them were quite ignorant of its approach.
What an opportunity for morning tea, a chat with other travellers and a sneak away to hide a cache.
The Gulflander was on its return journey to Normanton after having carried tourists across to Croydon yesterday. We had joined some of them last evening for a sunset dinner trip in and out of Croydon.

Making our way to Longreach for QOGM 2023, we passed by here with geovan in tow and stopped to find this cache.
No sign of cache in the obvious spot, so we have replaced it with a magnetic key holder on top of pier, SE corner.

Well, I needed a hint. The coordinates were vaguely on the back corner of the building, but despite searching there and elsewhere, I was unable to find the cache. I suspect this is a case of it seems easy and obvious to those who know where it is, but not to the rest of us. Either that, or it has gone missing. DNF.
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 65. Croydon to Gregory via Normanton and Four ways. It seems today was a bit longer than expected, and with not much to do along the way. I stopped at a few rest stops and even bought some food at the roadhouse at four ways. I eventually pulled into Gregory and found a spot to set up for the evening.
The lack of a hint suggested this should be straight forward, but I failed hare today.
