If previous seekers had raised the issue then this cache would have been put to bed long ago! No shame in logging a DNF.
Having explored this overall section of bush several times in recent months, I want to second Yurt's recent comments. I think it's highly unlikely that 'Disombobulate' is a real live geocache. And it may never have been one . . .
I also have an issue with the name, which I think should be spelled 'Discomboobulate.' But that's another problem altogether . . .
Finally, a special GCA gold star should be awarded to Zalgariath for his intrepid investigations into this mystery!
Good work, Z!

I have to confess I made a foray into the bush north of the cache location coming in from Leuna Ave. This was about four or five months ago but I didn't log it at the time. I reached the same point as Zalgariath at the top of the cliff and the indication was that it was 20m away at the bottom so I assumed an approach from the bottom was required. I'd planned on doing it some other day but never got around to it.
I believe that this cache was never actually at the listed coords - the rest of the series are four easily found lunchboxes down behind the hockey fields at Pennant Hills Park - all on well used trails. The cache description says that all five should be easy to pick up together which suggests that it was supposed to be somewhere in the same area.
It may be out there somewhere (but probably wasn't a nano either) but not at the listed coords I'd say.
Can't imagine we're going to hear back from the owner so archiving is looking likely.

Can the cache owner confirm this cache is at the listed location or if it was just a temporary cache for a scouting exercise?
I probably should only list a "NM" log but as it has been over 6 months since the CO logged on there is probably no point. If the owner can confirm it is there, or that the co-ords are indeed incorrect then yay! FTF hunt back on, otherwise this one needs to go.
I thought it weird a cache could survive 3 years in Sydney Metro unfound. Then I saw it was a nano in the bush and thought
But even so, not even one attempt? What's wrong here, all the other caches nearby have been done... I soon found out two things. 1) Check google maps, as my initial approach from the South through thick scrub lead me to cliff with the GPS still 100m away... it must be down there, by the creek.
A long detour around the cliff to the mouth of the creek and my hopes rose as while the track alongside it was well overgrown... it was a defined track none-the-less. It was around 400m to the cache but after 200m the track deteriorated so much it was incredibly hard going to make progress. Sydney water Man-Holes were all there was to indicate humans had even come this way and while I found some nice little spots, it would seem my efforts were in vain. As I got to within 50m-100m of GZ the arrow swung right and pointed well up the cliff on the opposite side
Back tracking all the way to the ute I drove the long way around to try one last attack from the north. As I hit the point were I needed to leave the marked path it was only 100m through VERY thick bush to GZ... but again as I got to within 20m of the cache I came undone. There is no way on God's green earth a cache could have been hidden there, even for a Navigation Exercise. GZ is exactly half way up an inaccessible overgrown cliff face. With the cache listed as a Nano and the very helpful hint "In the scrub" this one need to go to bed unless the owner can justify its existence. I spent 3-4 hours trying everything possible to reach GZ, with no success.
Give it a week for the owner to have right of reply and fix/update/check it. Then could we please see this nasty piece of work sent to to the achieves. Cheers
