WHATS THE CATCH?

This is an easy cache to find thats why its a 1:1 hide.

Thats the easy part.

THE CATCH!.....................You need to find one other cache of four others in the immediate area (LISTED BELOW)  and log that on the same day as your log for this one.

Logs for this cache only will not be accepted.

This is a starter cache to get you in the mood for the others which will not disappoint you. They are all great caches.

The others are:

GCP3T8  DIAL 1 FOR GNOMEN

After coffees in Penguin, here we are for another visit to the Gnomon. Last time was well before we knew anything about caching. Now we're also getting into GA's as well ! Found this cache hidden a long time ago by robtas. It's still in good nick, and ready to be logged by you.TFTC, and any other cachers who may be keeping an eye on this one keeping it in the game. Quick find before the climb up Mt Gnomen and Mt Dial, I found all 4 other caches on the mountain to satisfy requirements for this cache.

25-Jan-21
Out and about caching in the area and stopped to find this cache. Replaced the log as mush and added a ziplock bag. We also found GA1392 Duncan for dummies. Nice to find some older caches. A lovely day to be out and about. TFTC

11-Jul-20
Found this one one the way back to car from completing the climb up Mount Gnomon and Mount Dial to collect the respective caches on top of each one.

Logbook was soaking wet and only just marked my name into the log.

This one will need a new log inside of it.

Well, I parked near this cache and slept the night as I was exhausted. Not a sole annyoed me which was great.
Cache was found quickly enough since it hasnt been found in over two years
TFTC.
Took the longer way to walk to this cache, and then it took me quite a while to actually find cache.
Found this cache on a 2 day trip to the NW, covering over 1000 kms and finding around 100 caches of both GCA and GC

27-Dec-16
Nabbed this one at the end of a nice walk along the tops and locating caches atop Mt Gnomon and Mt Dial.

04-Oct-13
Found on our caravan and caching holiday to the North West Coast.

Today we found three of the listed caches and one yesterday so we can legitimately log this cache. Thanks ROBTAS

25-Jan-13
Found today on the start of the walk to mount dial to collect the other caches in the area. Thanks robtas

23-Oct-12
Very Happy Went out on my new bike to check on this one and it was gone. Beats me how it could be muggled, perhaps some animal did it. But its back and should be ok.

03-Sep-12
I got out of the car to walk up the Gnomon, and my GPSr was showing a cache just a few metres away.
The catch was no problem, as I was heading up anyway.
The problem was that an extended search turned up nothing!

14-Jan-12
replaced cache container. Thanks to last finder for replacing the log book.

A find for the little one. Easy find in an obvious location. Old log book is now just paper pulp. New log book is fairing ok at the moment. Replacement container would be advisable. TFTC

I eat those mints all the time and I often think there must be something useful you could do with the container. I guess using it as a geocache isn’t one of them. The container is really badly rusted and the log a ruined black lump.

We replaced with another homemade log which we just about managed to stuff into the box but it wont last long. Unfortunately we didn’t bring our spare containers with us this time so we couldn’t replace it too.

Left the old log in the box but had to leave the pencil out in order to do so, so bring your own if you are next to visit.

Found three caches up the top today.
Container rusting quite nicely although the log was damp. Maybe this cache could use a little maintenance?
TNLN, thanks robtas

28-Aug-10
Grabbed this one after Grab a Smiley, Dial Up a Cache and Dial One for Gnomon. A great walk with good views on a clear winter day. The log is quite damp but still able to be used. TFTC! Robtas. Very Happy

A quick find once we drove into the area. Also found the cache GCP3T8 (Dial 1 for Gnomen) on the same day to satisfy the requiremnst of this cache.

Found after finding Grab a Smiley and Dial up a cache
Many thanks Robtas.

12-Oct-09
Found this with Nerebil and Redtag. Successful day out walking and caching - can't ask for more than that really! Thanks!

11-Oct-09
We well and truly met the criteria for being allowed to log this cache by finding three of the four options today.
Lovely weather, brilliant company and a great walk in the Dial Range.
Thanks robtas

After a nice walk in the area this finished of a sucessful series. Thanks

13-Sep-09
Found with scouts while waiting to climb Dial 2 for Duncan. Thanks Robtas

07-Sep-09
Good one. With the Dial range, I don't need much incentive! Thanks Robtas.

17-Aug-09
CO-ORDS CHANGED. i CAN TAKE A HINT. THANKS GUYS FOR SETTING ME STRAIGHT..........AGAIN

16-Aug-09
Found this and the other four caches in the immediate area on the same day. I agree with beetles2 that the Co-ords should be S41.10.648 E146.01.700.

18-Jul-09
Nearly gave up on this one after searching through poor tracks on the western side of the car park. Then logic kicked in and we found the cache. According to our GPS we think the Eastern co-ords should be E146 1.700. [Not E146 1.200]

27-Apr-09
Thanks to Sirius it now has moved slightly as it was muggled.
new location nearby, same rules apply.
Thanks Sirius for your assistance.

21-Apr-09
Found empty container with magnet and log missing. Had a spare scroll log and pencil and replaced in slightly different but close by spot with owners permission.
All these Dial Range caches are definitely worth visiting with easy access and excellent walking tracks with superb views. There are many walking tracks linking up with each other with geocaches along most of them.
This is a good cache to entice you to walk that little bit further...so good one robtas....many thanks....Cheers.

08-Mar-09
