Found on the Fluid February Tour of Tasmania by ToolboxTas, red tag, Swampy and muggle Steve.
We arrived here after negotiating the drive along the dam wall and over the creek on the other side. There were 2 muggles hanging around and we managed to located the cache, sign it and replaced it before they arrived. We then had a chat about 4WDing.
Thanks for the cache Hilberts!

A 4x4 Trip with my good mates ToolboxTas and Swampy (aptly called our 'Fluid Tour' because we made it mostly up as we went along) brought us to this cache. I walked right past it but I think I was still shaking from the hard core 4x4 way we came in.
Thanks for the cache Hilberts

My phones gps doesn't work very well in the trees but with a bit of searching soon found the cache.

Out of curiosity, we looked back T when we last visited this area - October 2011. Where did that time go? We don’t know if our memories are failing us, or if the area has changed somewhat since our previous visit! We remember the parking area as being much more open and there was definitely less vegetation next to the dam. It was also much busier today. Still a great spot - and with a new cache as a bonus. Continuing my journey out to the NE and a spot I'd been to before a few yrs earlier nabbing a GC cache.
A decent size dam wall which has stood fast.
A quick find with cache in top condition.
Many tftc..much appreciated...cheers ST.

Thanks for the cache Hilberts; found with AlbyDangles, and previous finder Lil Rafa.
After a big day geocaching yesterday in and around Swansea, then up to St Helens for more caching by moonlight; and an overnight stay.
This morning we headed out to the Gardens to nab some finds, then onto St Columba Falls, and this is our next stop - we're needing to pick and choose our stops otherwise we'll run out of time and miss our deadline back to Hobart.
This is a great spot that I have visited several times back in the 90s (pre-caching), and often drove the forestry road between Branxholm and Weldborough as a matter of course.
I tried to walk along the dam top once, but the overhanging foliage along with the ever-increasing sheer drop on one side, and the steep drop to the other; well, I gave up, but lived to tell the tale!
No muggles here at all, the road is in fab condition, the weather perfect, so we explored a bit and put the cameras to good use.
Should be on everyone's bucket list.
Thanks for bringing me here (again).- how good is Tassie?!

In the area for work. decided to make a detour on the way back to tick this oe off the list. TFTC
Was working at Winnaleah today and had sometime up my sleeve so made a quick drive into here to grab this cache.
Gps was a tad erratic to start with but once it settled the cache was found just before some muggles pulled up in a campervan. TFTC

#GA4097 - 08:00; I wasn't planning a caching day today, but with double dZ points on offer, I decided to get out nice and early for a quick trip and collect some of the newer caches around the north east, which have appeared since my last visit in some places I'd never been, or had not visited for many years. Collected a couple of GC caches in Branxholm before heading out to the Mt Paris Dam for this cache. I really made this one much harder than it needed to be as my GPSr was wandering quite a bit and had me looking in the wrong spots. Decided to collect the nearby GC cache and came back after that. Checked the other side of the wall too, but still no luck. Thought it was looking decidedly like a DNF, but gave it one more shot and came up with what should have really been a relatively easy find TFTC Hilberts

We were spending a day in the Pyengana area so decided to stop and look for this cache on the way. It was a peaceful drive along the Mt Paris Dam Road, no traffic and only a few birds including a very large hawk along the way.
On arriving at the Dam car park we were greeted by a couple enjoying a quiet cuppa and a vivid orange 4WD belonging to the Mountain Bike tour company - no sign of its owners. After a chat with the muggles having morning tea we made our way down the track and out of sight. Before long we located the cache container tucked safely away. The container and contents were in good condition.
Thanks to the Hilberts for this cache and for bringing us back to this historic area.

An easy one while in the area and a *FTF* as a bonus. The dam is an interesting structure in the middle of nowhere, a lot of history there, that's for sure. TFTC
