Description

Cache located in the vicinity of some old Blue Tier mines.

Located close to the Duco Mine adit, which is well worth a visit to see. The Adit is a short walk from the parking layby and contains glow worms! Please note that GPS accuracy is not great in this area so no shame in using the hint

After parking your vehicle in the layby adjacent to the GZ (marked with a yellow marker on a large tree by the roadside) a brief walk up the adjacent hill (on the same side of the road) following the pink survey tape will take you to the GZ. After retrieving the cache you can then return to the layby and cross over the road, where there is a short walk to the adit (signposted).

Please respect this historic area and tread lightly. When viewing the glow worms please turn off your torch and don't touch them.

Have been out here previously exploring the old mines but being so wet after recent rain and short of time I didn't venture out to the mine.
The road in was littered with fallen debris and a couple of wattles blocking the road whch I cleared off with my trusty slashhook.
The cache was in top condition though very exposed so covered before leaving.

We had previously visited this area to find a GC cache and had explored the adit and spotted the glow worms. Because we were running short of time today it was only a short visit to search for the cache. It was a little scramble to the hiding spot but we soon found the container tucked safely away from the elements. Again we found ourselves with a blank log sheet - another unexpected {FTF} at 13:50. After carefully replacing everything it was time to head off.

Thanks for this cache Hilberts. Container and contents were in very good condition.
