Description

Pobblebonk Haven

A cache place in Percy Treyvaud Memorial Park

This wetland is home to the Pobblebonk Frog who got their name from their distinctive "bonk'' call.

Most vocal in spring or on warm still nights, at dusk and just after or before it rains.

The Pollybonk Frog is sensitive to pollution so hearing their call is a sign of a healthy environment.

You are looking for a small sistema with logsheet only, please bring your own pen.

The area still has a fence around it but Mrs Y'stassie was able top reach over and explore the area behind the post at GZ. Found nothing. The water is quite high and the mud very deep so the container may have washed away or have sunk beneath the mud.

Thanks for bringing us to this spot Tassie Trekkers. It was certainly Pobblebonk heaven today. The frogs were in full voice.

Gz of fenced off at the moment. It looks somewhat temporary so hopefully will be clear soon. I'll have another look next time I'm in the area.

A quick find at the appropriate location and thanks for the hint as there has been a lot of new mulch placed around and the hint help immensely.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find for without someone to hide, there would be nothing to find.

Found @ 19:49 on the way home from work.

I walked a lap of the park while a cricket match was being played on the adjacent oval, but they were wrapping up when I came around again. Not sure why I didn't spot it yesterday.

Checked on a nearby cache of mine at the same time.

Thanks for the cache Tassie Trekkers.

A nice quick find thanks to accurate coordinates and a suitable hint.
An area that I know quite well.
Our boys have played a range of sports here back when the nearby primary school was named Chadstone Park Primary. In fact, when they started school this suburb was still actually Chadstone not East Malvern.
I hid a moveable cache a few metres to the left recently. I notice that it has hopped away too. Has anyone seen GA4003 Freddo lurking nearby? Ribbit
I think I can hear him but it may be a relative of his. Laughing
Another (FTF) here today.
Thank you for placing this cache Tassie Trekkers.

DNF @ 18:27

I made a quick stop on the way home to have a crack at this new placement, but was unable to find it. I thought I checked the regions close to the coordinates that matched the hint with no luck.

I'll try again another time when I have more time and there are less muggles around.

Thanks anyway Tassie Trekkers
