A Day out with Oldsaint finding some GCA caches for the new Blitz Event. The day was amazing, from snow to blue sky, from heavy showers to dry roads. One leach to report though!
Started the day at 6am, although Oldsaint had driven from Huonville by then. The drive north was interesting, and even though Symons Plains had a race day on, nobody was there at 8am
Proceeded directly to our main target, the Sail Boat Geoart, and completed about 9 before the heavy shower set in, so we decided we could drive to the last during the shower and work our way back. At the last we we greeted by a large amount of snow on the sides of the road, and throughout the tree. We occasionally got "snow balled" from trees above as we were caching. Great day out.

According to the rules of Blitz
Blitz is a dragonZone encounter where you find as many unique valid dragonZone geocaches as you can during a set period of time in an attempt to earn a reward.
Rewards are in the form of dragonZone points but are only awarded if the entire team of geocaches who are playing dragonZone combine to exceed the total number of finds required.
If the entire team of geocachers who are playing dragonZone reach or exceed the total number of finds required then at the end of the game you will receive a number of dZ points based on your percentage contribution of unique finds.

For example:
Make 1% of the total finds, receive 1% of the total rewards points.
Make 5% of the total finds, receive 5% of the total rewards points.
Make 10% of the total finds, receive 10% of the total rewards points.

dZPoints will be rounded up to the nearest whole number.
The more unique geocaches you find the more you are rewarded.
Geocaches you find during the game must have been hidden and published prior to the game announcement.

Out and about caching in the area and stopped to locate this cache. It was nice to turn the puzzle (which was solved when first published) into a smiley. TFTP

One of the caches we found today on a drive through the area, looked in a couple of likely spots before making the find.

Thanks 2y'stassies for creating this puzzle and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Today after finishing work early i decided to target the caches on top of the Gog Range, as this one wasn't that far away i decided to drive and grab this one while in the general area.
Had solved the co-ordinance when the cache was published but hadnt had the time to come find it until today.
looking on google earth i had worked out where i needed to search, a quick find was made at GZ, signed the log then placed back into its hiding place.

Had to use the wisdom of 'Sirius' to solve this puzzle.
Got stumped initially but knew where gz was, so worked backwards. A few false starts then found the correct method.
Had a bit of brain fade at gz, but soon found the little blighter.
Great to get out in this neck of the woods again. The MTM caches were beckoning but wanted to leave those until the trout season opens.
A few moveables to put out then over to check out Westrope Rd to see what the walking track access was like. The road had landslip issues a few yrs ago but has now been resurfaced right through to the Mother Cummings track...so all good.
Many thanks FTC 2y'stassies....much appreciated...cheers ST.

Solved this puzzle a little while ago, arrived at GZ. A likely location, but where could you hide it on or in that. We had a ranger and cleaner across the road as we wandered around pretending to stretch our legs.
After a bit of a flyby look, I remembered something that would likely allow a hide and bingo - jackpot. Cache in hand Thanks 2'ys great hide and not only was the puzzle a different version of solution, but the hide was also a bit of a puzzle. Worthy of a 5 thumbs up. WhistleDancingDancingRazz

Our 3rd FTF for the day as we headed on a loop drive from home to Liena and back through Railton.
Have long suspected that puzzle solving isn't exactly our forte and this cache reinforced that. Spent hours yesterday trying to solve this one and totally overlooked the obvious. It was only after a bit of help from the CO's that the geochecker finally liked what we came up with. Pretty sad when you think that we'd used this process before!!!
Arrived at GZ and was met by a very enthusiastic National Parks ranger who was hoping that we were there for the tour. As we had already done it a few times before we pretended we had stopped for a toilet break and then proceeded down the road to another cache where we lingered for long enough for her to be gone when we returned. That worked and after parking right at GZ the cache was quickly in hand.
With such a small log sheet we just signed this one B2.
Thanks for the cache and the quick reply to our query on it.
