Description

This cache is part of QOGM 2019's Turd Trail along the Neverfail Road. We trust you enjoy a caching experience with a little difference.

I read an article called Embarrassing English Errors Ep17 – Turd & Third, and thought - "could have a bit of fun with that!"
Hence the development of this series.  It is just meant for a bit of fun.
All caches are actual cow pats which have been dried naturally, and coated with varnish for preservation. Please treat with care so others can enjoy the fun.

Can you earn your Turd Degree Certificate?

In order to gain your Turd Degree Certificate, we have to put you through the turd degree of finding this and fifteen other turd geocaches along The Turd Trail (TTT).

When you complete the Trail AND the Mystery Cache at the end, you can contact the CO to receive a link to print out your Turd Degree Certificate.

So get cracking before we get the whip out!

When Mrs y'stassie discovered The Turd Trail she just had to put it on her must do list. Not only did she agree that it 'was a bit of fun' that she wanted to take part in but she had also played with drying cattle turds and trying several ways to preserve them as cache holders and she was looking forward to seeing how the Turd Master and CO had managed this. Life, Covid, family and health issues got in the way. The Turd Trail was religated to the backburner until we signed the house of Representatives callenge cache in SA. We met the requirements for all states except Queensland. So this years trip was planned visiting as many Queensland LGAs as possile plus finding must do caches. Mrs y'stassie revisited The Turd Trail pages and was delight to see they were still in play. As they were last visited in 2021 she hoped they would still be in play. Today was the day to see if we could qualify for our Turd Degree.

After caching our way up the Blackall Jericho Road we turned onto the Neverfail Road and our Turd adventure began. Would we be able to meet the requirements and achieve the ultimate certificate.

At this hide Mrs y'stassie was disappointed to find a small plastic container cable tied to a tree branch not the Turd she had looked forward to. Never mind she had her first find. No clue but then there were 14 Turds to go.

Thanks for this cache in this fun series RoddyC. We were pleased to find a reasonable wide well made road.

Full time nomads since 2013. Still tootling around the country trying to avoid Covid hotspots.

Today we headed out to complete the Heartland and Mailbox series. 250km round trip out of Blackall. We saw several graders, water trucks and rollers out on the roads. Also lots of cattle, Emu's with chicks, Kangaroos.and a white faced Heron. Very HappyVery Happy

Queensland Outback Geomuster 2019 trip to Blackall. Day 4. Today was my first day of organised events I joined Baby&MrsGopher, Au.fait and Trekker Trev. The highlight of the day was the series of caches in the morning with a unique flavor. I hope they eventually get published in one form or another. The afternoon was spent around Tambo before the evening get together at the pub. Two evening caches were visited before a longish drive home.

Thanks.

Found while attending QOGM 2019. A brilliant series of caches whose descriptions and names were obviously written by someone with a sharp, (or should that be warped?) mind/sense of humour. Very clever play on words at each cache. Thanks for these great caches RoddyC and 1Muggle (creating these caches must have been such fun for you!!!

Does not matter whom puts the first log in on this series. I hope all the Geocachers who found the original 16 are members or will join GCA to claim the golden smiley
for the series, especially the lucky people who were given the right to claim to find on individual hides. I was part of the placement team for the series and we had a laugh and a ball placing these.

A group of 4 (3 teams) departed Blackall this morning in the car with one objective. That being to earn our Turd Degrees. Until finding this first one, no one had any idea what was involved but a laugh was had by all after everyone dismounted the chariot and inspected the processes materials used to construct the Camo. Very well done and a big thanks to those involved in the design, manufacture and placement.

What a pleasure it is to finally log our finds on this series.
This was our first geomuster, and I must say that I was quite overwhelmed initially, as designated data person, to be entering coords as we were driving along, so I didn't have time to relax and enjoy the journey until all coords were entered.
We participated with our friends Little Squirell. I hope they log these finds on GCA, as they are not avid Geocaching Australia members.
There was lots of fun and frivolity as Mrs Squirell read the e cache descriptions, and many funny escapades and photos ensued.
Thankyou RoddyC and the rest of the QOGM 2019 team for such a fun afternoon.
