Description

A Statue of Colonel Sanders

We found this statue at a KFC franchise and noted that it is uncommon to see this ,so we thought we would try and see how many of these statues are around.

To log this cache please take a photo of the Colonel and supply the co-ordinates for others to find .

I was in Louisville Kentucky a few ago and headed into the Cave Hill Cemetery for a look around as there are few virtual caches in the grounds. There are quite a few famous folk buried there, one of which is the good Colonel himself. So, my attached photo is one I took of his tombstone, complete with a statue.

A couple of other famous people are also buried in the cemetery, including Muhammad Ali and Patty Hill. I'm sure most people will know of Muhammad Ali, but who is Patty Hill and why is she famous? Google her, it may surprise you.

Thanks for the locationless GT54...the statue may not be at one of his restaurants, but I hope you find it interesting enough to allow my log....

I couldn’t find an actual statue of the Colonel. Not sure what it is supposed to look like as there wasn’t a photo with your log, but I had this photo of myself taken with The Colonel when we stopped for our traditional KFC meal on our way home from a Geocaching trip to Chiltern.
