Description

A cache hidden while RESEARCHing others in the area

So, this cache is hidden at the “T” inter-section of the roads that take you to one of my FAVOURITE walking areas – the HARTZ Mountains

Favourite defined:

A person, place or thing that is preferred to all others of the same kind or is especially well liked.

One of my favourite films was The Sound of Music starring Julie Andrews; in which she sang My Favourite Things in which we are reminded:

Cream-colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells
And schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

So, is it favorites or favourites? I’ll let you decide!

Another favourite of mine comes from Cadburys:

Only Cadbury Favourites has something everyone loves and enjoys! Bringing together 11 of Australia’s favourite chocolate personalities, Cadbury Favourites is perfect for sharing at all casual socialising occasions from BBQs to Birthday parties. The Cadbury Favourites 540g pack includes Cadbury Dairy Milk, Crunchie, Flake, Caramello, Boost, Picnic, Moro, Cherry Ripe, Marvellous Creations, Turkish Delight and Dream.

One should now ask “WHY are Turkish Delight included?” – NOT one of my favourite things!

Cheers OldSaint

Several big 4WDs roared by when we pulled up to look for this cache. We spotted a possible hide from the edge of the road but that site was bare. We moved on and spotted a suspicious pile of wood and on closer inspection pulled out a container that explained the cache name. Container and contents were in good condition. A good example of recycling.

Thanks for this cache OldSaint. There are several groups of interesting small fungi close by.

Hi Oldsaint

Was out and about today collecting a few GCA caches while the weather was ok. Some blue sky was about - but not much. Didnt get rained on, so an advantage there.

Looked at the area, and didnt think it would be a favorite walking area, but when I found the cache - the penny dropped

Thanks for the cache OldSaint.
I can see why this is one of your 'favourite' walking places.
Found this with RLD4963 on our drive back to our accommodation, after a great walk to Hartz Peak.
Nice quick find at GZ.

As is often the case, you clean up an area but another cache or two gets hidden so others come back to find them and put out more, and so it goes on. I can almost hear the evil laughter of these COs! So back here again to 'clean up'after a new on e wast listed last night. A quick find here as the area is still very sparse.
Thanks OldSaint

Joint *FTF* @ 1525 with Tassie Trekkers. After finishing our caching list for the day we decided to keep heading south to locate newly published caches. Gee the fires were bad, only just greening up a bit. My favourite is caramello bear but never included in this box, so not happy Jan! TFTC

A day caching with whitewebbs ended in making an unplanned diversion to The Arve River Area. Favourites are a popular chocolate but this container had none Sad Our only consolation was a blank log sheet and a joint Very Happy [*FTF*] Very Happy @ 17.25 hrs. Nice to see the man ferns regenerating after the fires.

Many thanks OldSaint for publishing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience.

Tassie Trekkers are now a locationless geocache we have published a 'Geocacher cache' - Travelling Trekkers GA10932 - so if you spot us in your area sign our log book and receive a code word to earn yourself a Very Happy
