Bourke St, Launceston, Tasmania

Snapped this wayward trolley whilst caching in the area.

20-Aug-22
Spotted these four near the local oval, presumably taken there by the residents of the flats over the road. They would be at least a 1km walk from the local Westfield. The next door neighbours have a habit of pinching them as well and leaving them over the road, not sure why as they have a perfectly functional car. Thanks for the cache.

These two trolleys decided to go on a date. Being from opposing supermarkets they needed to get away from their home bases to be undetected. They were sighted 2.3 km from their supermarkets and 1.2 km of this travel was uphill. Very Happy

S41 04.092 E145 54.430 BURNIE TASMANIA Very Happy

I was in the area looking for a cache which ended up being a DNF when I saw this group of trolleys having a bush picnic. They had travelled 2.5 km from their supermarket trolley parking bay. Very Happy

As the crow flies this one is probably within 500m of a shopping centre but to go that way it would need a boat or learn how to swim LaughingLaughing but by land it's way from home by at least 1.2km. TFTC Smile

S33° 19.764' E115° 38.126'

Found this one while we were driving around yesterday.
As it has a read handle it is from Coles not Aldi so depending on which route it took it travelled anywhere between 700 - 950m (so google tells me Laughing )

Sadly these two trollies tried to find respite from the 46 degree heat here in Shepparton, and decided to go for a swim in the duck pond, beneath the bridge, in the Chinese Garden at Monash Park.
They may have escaped from the nearest supermarket - Aldi about 400 metres south.
Unfortunately I was not in a position to rescue them.

I have seen many travelling trollies over the years. A few have been swimming in creeks and storm water drains! Out caching with WaywardWoman in the Liverpool area I spotted this blue trolley (I've never seen a blue trolley before). It was a few hundred meters from the nearest shopping center outside the cemetery. Maybe it was looking for a final resting place...
Thanks for this locationless

17-Jul-18
Found this Trolley in a lane behind a refrigeration Sales and workshop building. I see misguided trolleys down here a lot.
It would be approximately 900 meters from the closest shopping area that has trolleys for general public use. TFTL Pride Of Ogres Clan MinotaurVery Happy

I am very disheartened when I drive around Nanango and see shopping trollies where they should not be. Nanango is not that large and to see them anything up to 2klm from the only centre in town that has them saddens me. I do understand there are several reason people do this but please take them back on your net trip into town to the shops.

Underground below Manuka in Canberra. Under that mess are lost trolleys. Amazing how they got there Shocked. Coordinates not given, as it was part of a 4 star terrain multi cache and I don't want to give too much away. TFTC Pride of Ogres.

A couple of trolleys dumped not far apart. One Coles; the other Big W. Coles 3kms away and nearest Big W, over 8kms. TFTC Pride of Ogres.

I was just Driving around an area known as Harlaxton in North toowoomba Queensland and was drivin up the hill and spied this unfortunate trolley on the footpath. According to Google Earth it is 1.2 Klm in a straight line from the nearest Shopping Centre. A pity people could not return them. I was told by a person at the coffee shop at that particular shopping Centre the grocery store hires a firm to drive an area of around 3 kilometers from the centre looking for wayward trolleys. This spot is about 600-700 metres from the supermarket.

The closest place with trolleys for customer use is 955 meters away in a direct line. Nanango is only a small country town with a population of around 5500 people actually in town and we wonder why prices rise. These things are not cheap. TFTL Pride of Ogres Clan MinotaurVery Happy

I am staying in Mandurah and I have never before seen so many travelling trollies! It is rare to see them on the loose in Tassie. This one was near where I was staying and about 900m away from the shopping centre. I don't have a GPS so there is not one in the photo

05-Sep-15
This one seen on the footpath in Cairns Street Nanango Qld near the showgrounds. In a straight line it would be just over 1000 meters to the nearest shop that has trolleys. I just hope that it was not one of the visitors to town staying at the showgrounds caravan park that left this one here. Clan MinotaurVery HappyBrick Wall

Driving along Haly Street Kingaroy and spied this one on the footpath. The closest shopping centre that would have trolleys would be approximately 850 meters in a direct line from this site. Unfortunately I am seeing a lot more trolleys on the footpaths of country towns in my area.

So how many smileys do I get for this photo? Very Happy

We came across this wandering trolley in Humpybong Park, Redcliffe. It could have got here via several different routes but the shortest (according to Google Maps) is 590m from the nearest Woollies store.
Thanks Pride of Ogres.

Spotted this sad looking shopping trolley at the Punchbowl Reserve while we were there to hide some moveable caches. Looks like the poor thing has spent some time in the creek. We estimate that the trolley is about 3 kilometres by road from the nearest Woolworths supermarket. TFTC

I parked in Kavanagh Street, Southbank today and only metres away was an orphan trolley. I figured that the nearest supermarket was quite some way from it so I took a pickie at 11:05 for logging this one. Sure enough using Google Maps, the nearest Woolworths was just over 1 km away. Shocked A well used and well travelled trolley indeed.

Thanks Pride of Ogres.

These things just pop up everywhere. We were crossing this bridge at Port Macquarie today to get to a cache when we noticed this trolley in the bottom of the river. Sorry the GPS is not in the shot but it was dicey enough leaning over to take the photo without trying to juggle the GPS as well.
You may have to look pretty close to see it and you can really only just see the outline but trust me it is there.

No wonder our groceries are so dear!!
Thanks.

These trollies are a bit of a mystery, the Franklin trolley should not even be there as the Franklin store closed some months ago a couple km away in the center of Katoomba. The Coles trollies are also from the old Coles store that closed a year ago a couple km away, the new store uses lockable wheel trollies so they cannot be taken out of the center.
Found on the corner of Bathurst Road and Narrow Neck Road in Katoomba, NSW.

Found this Woolies trolley sitting in the middle of the footpath near a park in Dapto. There was nothing in the park apart from a toilet block so perhaps they we desperate, spent a penny & when they came back found that someone had pinched their groceries. No point in pushing it any further so wandered away in frustration, heading in the direction of the Dapto Mall. That is one depressing mall.

WanderingAus wandered by on a short maintenance run to replace my water damaged cache GC17NN9 WanAus 21 - Swingler Park, and spotted this trolley which had travelled 800 metres from the local Foodworks Store. I was tempted to return it to get the two dollar deposit out of it, but it was 38 degrees and I'd have had to walk back to get the geoPajero after returning the trolley.

While I was there I spotted this K Mart shopping trolley, 650 CroMs from the Centro Maddington Mart store.
