Who would have thought this canal was here hidden in the bush. I managed to find the cache without getting wet (there was a considerable pool of water at the base of the steps up to the bridge).

Caching in the area we found your cache along the way.

Cache and contents were in good condition.

Many thanks Hilberts for placing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience today. Great to visit a location not visited before, enjoyed exploring the area.

Decided to go in search of caches to get more ammo for the battleship game. Left home at 9.30 am and returned at 6.30 pm covering 400 kms and this one was on the list and found. A cold day at Wentworth Canal. Terrain needs to be increased as cache is not wheelchair accessible. A quick find and a great spot for a cache. Replaced log and container as the other totally soaked. Left the old one in place. TFTC

After finding the cache at the dam we continued on. We parked on the road and walked up the soft road. In hind sight we could have driven up but the walk enabled us to enjoy the smell of the bush and listen to the gurgling of the water in the canal.

When we got to the search site we found a largish pool of water in front of the ladder so the team member wearing boots waded to the ladder, made the climb and found the cache. The cache container was a third full of water but fortunately the bag had kept the log relatively dry. We drained the water out, dried the container and replaced the contents.

Thanks for this cache Hilberts. We enjoyed this site even if our feet did get a little damp. A closer look spotted a small stream of water flowing from a hole between some rocks at the base of the wall beside the canal. Hope it isn't a major problem.

After finding the Wentworth Dam cache we headed down the road to find this one, the water at the canal was flowing pretty hard so when climbing the ladder we made sure not to fall in.
the cache was quickly found, however the log is damp as the container doesn't seal properly was still able to sign our name tho. TFTC Clan Cerberus

Another cache in a place I didnt know existed, our maps didnt show any roads to get near GZ so we walked up from the 'main' road to get this one, we could have driven tbh but didnt know that at the time, after the short walk this was a quick find in a interesting spot.

Thanks for the cache.

We nearly always use 'the 14 mile' when heading around the west coast. Today the couple of detours were most welcome. It seemed as though the canal had sprung a leak near the ladder! I totally enjoyed the visit here, and never knew the canal was here. TFTC

"Hello Hilberts thank you for the cache.

I didn't know this canal was here and so accessible.
Before reading the hint I walked past your cache and climbed up the bank a little and started a short search.
After realising I was in the wrong spot I very quickly found the cache as per the hint.
As the log book was empty I'm claiming a *FTF*.
This is the type of cache I like ones that take me to somewhere out of the way.
