Description

Half way between Sydney and Brisbane is Armidale.

Ranging from 970 metres in the valley to 1,110 metres above sea level on the hills, Armidale is Australia's highest city.  It was named after Armadale on the Isle of Skye in Scotland by the Commissioner of Crown Lands (1839-1848) George James MacDonald. The traditional owners are Anaiwan people.

Armidale is home to Australia's first rural university, many heritage listed buildings and beautiful cold climate gardens. Some of the most stunning wilderness scenery is only a short drive away.

The cache is located in Albion Park - probably one of Armidale's least recognised park names despite it's location.

Congratulations Lucky L10n & Sol de lune - FTF

Found It!
This one took a lot of searching but eventually I found it well buried in the leaf litter.

That’s a good hint. This cache was very nicely covered with natural camo (it is autumn Very Happy ) And the coordinates were very good too.

Thank you for another cache and adding to our enjoyment of Armidale. Smile

This cache had me wondering, "How on earth is this still here?", with the Uni here and the trees pruned back and the leaves blown about. I could see it as I approached. Hopefully the brown leaves I left with it stay put till more green ones come out. Smile

Another GA cache that was found in town today, good to see there are some traditionals around, rather that virtuals.
Thanks for the cache geono.

In Armidale to visit some friends and decided to grab some caches at the same time. Hard to resist the rare (for our home town at least) GCA traditional, even though they seem to have a higher rate of DNFs than GC tradionals (again, this may only be for our home area)

This was a relatively quick find once at GZ on a lovely morning. The container certainly seems to be a fair way from home!

Thanks for the Cache.

Arrived at GZ and found the cache in the second place we looked...so yep, it's certainly still there. Nice to grab another FTF. Nice day in town and a neat spot for a well hidden cache.

Thanks for another one geono...

#GA5184 - 10:40; Day 11 of a road trip with Sol de lune for the CacheQLD - Dayboro Mega and we are now headed for home. After spending the night in Glen Innes, we headed south through Ben Lomond and Guyra now on to Armidale where we had quite a few caches to find, including this one! TFTC geono.
