Description

Armidale lies in the heart of the New England High Country.

It was listed in Australian Traveller as one of Australia's hottest travel destinations for 2014. Armidale likes to mention it's presence of four distinct seasons. What it doesn't say -  hot and dry, rain, snow, hail and wind that can cut you to ribbons, can sometimes happen all in the one day.  New England has World Heritage National Parks, gorges, stunning waterfalls, rugged scenery and bush walks that cater for the casual wanderer to the extreme hiker. Don't be alarmed, to xperience the cache it's only a casual wander.

Congratulations karsen - FTF

Found It!
This one is a bit further from the road than I first expected but after finding my way through all the grass, I made it to GZ and soon found the cache!

This is Xactly what I needed! Yesterday I was passing a GCA challenge cache and the biggest challenge to claiming a find on it was finding a cache that started with the letter X. I decided to stop and sign it in advance. And guess what I happened to have to pass if heading to Wagga via Dubbo? This cache of course. So, woo hoo! I qualify for the challenge cache!

I was about to leave this as my last cache of the day and get a wriggle on down to Dubbo, but I noticed a few moveables I could use for dZ stuffs just down the road.

Thanks for this cache and naming it with an X at the start. Smile

(btw, my last note log was meant for a moveable. Whoops)

Another wet day in New England.... we decided on a morning in Uralla, so packed thermal layers and raincoats and set off. The mercury barely touched 10 all day, and it felt like zero at the most when the wind picked up, we still managed 20 finds (5 GCA, 15 others) before a light lunch at a local cafe...
We crashed through thick/wet grass to get to the cache, then followed the fence out.... all is good with this cache.
