Description

Gotta Keep 'Em Separated - Avenue of Honour Circuit

A bright red bison tube will be your goal at his lcoation where two fences come together to keep everything separated. A micro geocache (Bison Tube) waits for you at this location.

Meander along the Lerderderg River, swing left at the pumping station, and walk alongside the market gardens to meet the renowned Bacchus Marsh Avenue of Honour. Enjoy the beautiful elm trees on your return to the picnic ground. The total length of this circuit is 2.9km and there is adequate on-site parking for your stroll. All up your walk should take around 2 hours finding the many geocaches as you walk.

Quite a tricky little squeeze in here being mindful of the barbed wire fence.
All good with your hide, should never be muggled.
Thanks c@w

Having satisfied the hunger pangs in town Very Happy, I stopped by here for a look for this one on the way home. I did have a wee squiz at the hint Embarassed and with that chunk of info, I was soon signing the log at 15:40. Dancing

Took a bit of time to be able to get into this one and once there it was a squeeze to make the grab. Patience won out though and the log was eventually in hand and was soon being signed.

Thanks for this one C@W....

Today we're making our way from Ballarat to Geelong, caching and adventure labbing as we go. We've been wanting to have a go at this circuit ever since it was published and today's the day, finally. We found ten of the twelve with coordinates spot on and useful hints. We'll have to come back some time in the future to try the other two again. TFTC

As we made our way out to Ballarat for the Launch of the GeoTour Event, a pit stop was needed.
This is nice and conveniently located and a reserve we stop at occasionally.
Today I had the GeoMutts on long leads as they appreciate the time out of the car, almost as much as the time in the car.
They love geocaching and quite often drag me along on their adventures. Wink
A short search in between the intermittent flow of muggles soon turned up the goods.
Cache stamped, signed and replaced. All is in good order here caughtatwork. Very Happy
Thank you for placing this cache and the others along this circuit (which we shall chip away at with each subsequent visit).

It was an absolute pleasure to find the caches around Moon reserve.
The containers were clean, full of swag for swaps and the co ordinates accurate. It was so enjoyable walking and finding them. It felt like the good old days of caching -when I first joined.
I will definitely do more GCA caches in the future.

Thanks caughtatwork for re-introducing me to 'proper' caching.

We are heading to Melbourne to catch the ferry home tomorrow and decided to stay out of the city. We arrived in Bacchus Marsh with a little time to spare before checking in so Mrs Y'stassie set off on her evening walk and incorporated a little caching along the way.

She spotted the little people out socialising in the evening light before noticing her GPS wanted her in the opposite direction. She made a quick find of a well hidden cache container.

Thanks for this cache hide caughtatwork. Container and contents were in good condition. It was very peaceful along this side of the river today and no other walkers in sight.

Out and about finding our weekly research task requirements and this newly published series had several that met our needs. We set off on the circuit finding this one and a blank log book @ 12.23 hrs [*FTF*] #1

Accurate co ordinates and hint led to a quick find. Enjoyed the walk and exploring an area not visitd before.
