Description

Enjoy a stroll through the Mount Majura woodlands

Mount Majura, together with Mount Ainslie, Goorooyarroo and Mulligans Flat nature reserves and some adjoining areas of rural land, form an extensive remnant of Yellow Box-Red Gum grassy woodland. This vegetation community was once widespread from northern NSW down into Victoria but has been extensively cleared or modified since European settlement. These surviving woodland areas provide important foraging and breeding habitat for wildlife, including migratory birds, and a movement corridor that links through the Majura Valley to the Molonglo River.

Please replace the container and camo carefully to keep it hidden from view

After attending the GC CC Event I decided to come out and grab some GCA caches for the current GCA game. The walk was great but in the end I had to hurry back down to my car before the dark closed in on me completely. Thanks for these caches Kittykatch. A quick find at GZ and cache was found to be in good condition. SL DancingDancingDancingClan CerberusClan CerberusClan Cerberus

I was in the area with nibletricecakes today with a list of 7 gc & gca caches to find including this one. We came away with 7 smilies - yay. The last cache for the day just as the sun starts to go down. Quite a few roos along the way. TFTC kittykatch.

Such a pretty Reserve to be walking in this evening. After a little rooting around I spotted the hide and GLISS! Did all the hard work. Cache is in great condition. Now time to scoot home for Mother’s Day dinner. Thanks for the cache.

Interesting patch of bushland I've never visited before. A nice easy find. thanks.

I headed off to the Majura reserve to do a bit of walking. Along the way I managed to visit five GCA caches and avoid all the other walkers in the reserve.

Thanks

#GA4116 - 09:30; I was headed in to attend a Leap Day CITO at the AWM and stopped off on the way there to grab this series of caches and finally complete my dragonZone calendar! It was a long four year wait after logging a virtual on this date back in 2016 at the end of a long caching day cycling and walking along the Centenary Trail for 75 GC cache finds. No mistakes here today though and that millstone was finally lifted from around my neck. TFTC Kittykatch Very HappyClan Cerberus

Saw this small series of caches yesterday, however after Mondays storms there was no way I could head out this way until today. Once at GZ it was a short walk to this first cache...which was found without issue. Log was signed, cache replaced and I was off to the next one.

Thanks KK for the good size cache, the FTF and another walk in this now, very dry area.
