A cache hidden for the 2020 Game of Games
A cache hidden for the 2020 Game of Games
I have enjoyed trails hidden by other cachers and decided it was time for me to attempt one. I have been on excellent adventures where the series have puzzles to solve or take me to interesting places or have special themes. My first idea was a "Drug Trail" but I did not want to offer more than I could provide so I settled on an "Antibiotic Trail" This is the second in the series B for Benzylpenicillin
Benzylpenicillin is a narrow spectrum antibiotic also known as penicillin G. Its mode of action is to interfere with bacterial cell wall peptidoglycan synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins leading to cell lysis and death of the bacteria cell. It is used intravenously or IM but not orally. The adult dose is 0.6 to 1.2g every 4 to 6 hourly up to a maximum of 18g a day for severe cases of meningitis or endocardititis.
Now it is off to find the cache
Each cache in the series contains a First Aid kit and some other health related items, feel free to swap what every you like it doesnt have to be health related.
Watch out for cyclists they appear from nowhere!

Logs
After passing some walkers and a bike rider or 2 this one was quickly found and logged before anyone else came along. TFTC
A quick find with Budgietas
Really enjoying our day in the area
Sainted the cache at 1720 hours
TFTC and cheers
OldSaint
Started the day at 6am, although Oldsaint had driven from Huonville by then. The drive north was interesting, and even though Symons Plains had a race day on, nobody was there at 8am
Proceeded directly to our main target, the Sail Boat Geoart, and completed about 9 before the heavy shower set in, so we decided we could drive to the last during the shower and work our way back. At the last we we greeted by a large amount of snow on the sides of the road, and throughout the tree. We occasionally got "snow balled" from trees above as we were caching. Great day out.
According to the rules of Blitz
Blitz is a dragonZone encounter where you find as many unique valid dragonZone geocaches as you can during a set period of time in an attempt to earn a reward.
Rewards are in the form of dragonZone points but are only awarded if the entire team of geocaches who are playing dragonZone combine to exceed the total number of finds required.
If the entire team of geocachers who are playing dragonZone reach or exceed the total number of finds required then at the end of the game you will receive a number of dZ points based on your percentage contribution of unique finds.
For example:
Make 1% of the total finds, receive 1% of the total rewards points.
Make 5% of the total finds, receive 5% of the total rewards points.
Make 10% of the total finds, receive 10% of the total rewards points.
dZPoints will be rounded up to the nearest whole number.
The more unique geocaches you find the more you are rewarded.
Geocaches you find during the game must have been hidden and published prior to the game announcement.
Usually we ride the bikes to find them in here but as there were only three that were fairly close to where we parked we decided to walk today. Well I walked and Mr Beetle waited in the car!!!
After finding Ciprofloxacin I decided to bush bash for a while to this one to make it a shorter walk. It was tough going but only for about 25 metres and then I came out on the desired track, so was worth the effort.
Once at GZ a quick find was made.
Thanks.
Found the cache with accurate coords...cache and contents in top condition.
Many thanks FTC ChrisWhite62...much appreciated.
Murder(4paws) was itching to go...so off to tackle some nearby GC caches....cheers ST.
Again we found a well hidden container with a loose lid. The container was well stocked but this put pressure on the lid causing it to be pushed off. The container is well protected in its hide and the cache contents are in good condition.
Thanks for this cache in the Antibiotic series ChrisWhite62. This side of the park is very dry at the present time.
RLD4963, the GeoGSP and I were visiting the north of the state for a couple of days. We were heading for a nearby GC cache that we wanted to find, when I noticed that three new caches had been published very close by the previous day.
This was a nice quick find, thanks for adding to the caches in the area. Not sure that I've ever had this antibiotic.....
Nice to see some new caches published. After returning home from Melbourne we dashed out to hit the Antibiotic trail. While Mrs T headed off to find the closest 2 Mr T found this one before darkess fell.
Accurate co ordinates and hint led to a quick find of a nicely presented and well stocked cache. [*FTF*] @ 20.46 hrs.
