Description
A cache hidden for the 2020 Game of Games
I have enjoyed trails hidden by other cachers and decided it was time for me to attempt one. I have been on excellent adventures where the series have puzzles to solve or take me to interesting places or have special themes. My first idea was a "Drug Trail" but I did not want to offer more than I could provide so I settled on an "Antibiotic Trail" This is the third in the series C is for Ciprofloxacin.
Ciprofloxacin is a quinolone antibiotic and has a different mode of action to amoxycillin and benzylpenicillin. It inhibits DNA synthesis by blocking DNA gyrase and topoismerase. It is reserved for infections where alternative antibiotics are ineffective or contraindicated for example complicated urinary tract infections, bone or joint infections. There is an increasing bacterial resistance to quinolones and therefore their use needs to be restricted so we can extend their clinical life. Common adverse effects include rash, itch, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. Patients over the age of 60 and on corticosteroids are at greater risk of spontaneous Achilles tendon rupture if prescribed quinolones. Ciprofloxacin can be given orally with a dose of 250 to 500mg twice a day and taken on an empty stomach. Dairy products, antacids, iron or zinc preparations ay reduce the absortion of ciprofloxacin and should be separated by at least 2 hours. Ciprofloxacin can increase the effects of caffeine so you may need to reduce your caffeine intake. It alos make you more sensitive to UV rays and you will burn more easily so you need to cover up in the sun. Ciprofloxacin can be given IV 200 to 300mg twice a day
Now it is off to find the cache
Each cache in the series contains a First Aid kit and some other health related items, feel free to swap what every you like it doesn't have to be health related.

Logs
Found this in the obvious location when approaching gz. TFTC
A quick find with Budgietas
Really enjoying our day in the area
Sainted the cache at 1705 hours
TFTC and cheers
OldSaint
Started the day at 6am, although Oldsaint had driven from Huonville by then. The drive north was interesting, and even though Symons Plains had a race day on, nobody was there at 8am
Proceeded directly to our main target, the Sail Boat Geoart, and completed about 9 before the heavy shower set in, so we decided we could drive to the last during the shower and work our way back. At the last we we greeted by a large amount of snow on the sides of the road, and throughout the tree. We occasionally got "snow balled" from trees above as we were caching. Great day out.
According to the rules of Blitz
Blitz is a dragonZone encounter where you find as many unique valid dragonZone geocaches as you can during a set period of time in an attempt to earn a reward.
Rewards are in the form of dragonZone points but are only awarded if the entire team of geocaches who are playing dragonZone combine to exceed the total number of finds required.
If the entire team of geocachers who are playing dragonZone reach or exceed the total number of finds required then at the end of the game you will receive a number of dZ points based on your percentage contribution of unique finds.
For example:
Make 1% of the total finds, receive 1% of the total rewards points.
Make 5% of the total finds, receive 5% of the total rewards points.
Make 10% of the total finds, receive 10% of the total rewards points.
dZPoints will be rounded up to the nearest whole number.
The more unique geocaches you find the more you are rewarded.
Geocaches you find during the game must have been hidden and published prior to the game announcement.
A quick find was made.
Thanks.
Found the cache with accurate coords...cache and contents in top condition.
Many thanks FTC ChrisWhite62...much appreciated.
Murder(4paws) was itching to stretch his legs some more...so off to the next...cheers ST.
We parked in the usual spot under the overpass and took the track towards this cache. Not much of a bush bash needed. The container was hidden but its lid had become separated from the base so after signing the log we attempted to close the box but it kept popping open. The swaps were slightly too big and caused the lid to pop. We got it together and hope that the lid will stay on.
Thanks for this cache in the Penicillin series ChrisWhite62. We enjoyed our visit to this side of the park.
RLD4963, the GeoGSP and I were visiting the north of the state for a couple of days. We were heading for a nearby GC cache that we wanted to find, when I noticed that three new caches had been published very close by the previous day.
This was a nice quick find after a little stroll. Definitely don't think I've ever had this antibiotic.....
Nice to see some new caches published. After returning home from Melbourne we dashed out to hit the Antibiotic trail.
Accurate co ordinates and hint led to a quick find of a nicely presented and well stocked cache. [*FTF*] @ 20.45 hrs.
Many thanks ChrisWhite62 for publishing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience.
