Description

Have your photo taken at a Senior Citizens Club

As many of us are senior citizens, and perhaps belong to a Senior Citizens group, it might be interesting to share the locations of where they meet.

If you are visiting, or are new to an area and wish to meet some of the locals it is always a good place to meet some new faces.

Conversations with the seniors here can often lead to interesting places and history of the town that you might not find at the local tourist information centre.

If you are not already a senior citizen the knowledge of where these buildings are might come in handy to help some of us oldies locate the place.

Still got at least 10+ years (I think) before I become a Senior Citizen but I know where my local building is. I sometimes think due to my 'dickie' knees I should ask if I can join in on the light exercises as I can't do any other type, but haven't gotten up the courage to ask LaughingLaughing
Had to head to my local library so took a selfie afterwards since both buildings only metres away from each other. TFTC Smile

The Ulverstone Senior Citizens Club is a very active group offering a wide variety of activities for it's members and providing excellent meeting facilities for community and commercial groups. The photo added to the Gallery shows Mrs y'stassie standing beneath the sign at the main entrance to the club. Thanks Cybergran V for the cache.

The Shepparton Senior Cits is where you will usually find me on a Tuesday morning as part of the Friendship Group.
It is in a lovely spot adjoining Monash Park which overlooks the Chinese Bridge and the fountain.
The park is adorned with a variety of painted, life sized, fibreglass cows, which are moved and rotated with others in the district, and are very popular with tourists.
Our group meet at the hall for morning tea, have a chat, and go to a different restaurant for lunch every week, and car pool to other towns for special events.
We couldn’t ask for a more picturesque setting for our meetings.
Looking forward to seeing what other towns have for their seniors.
