Description
Yeerakine Rock is a granite rock formation located approximately 12 km (7.5 mi) south of Kondinin and approximately 20 km (12 mi) north west of Kulin in the central Wheatbelt region of Western Australia.[1] The site has a parking area, picnic tables, barbeques and walk trails with information signage. The rock is easily climbed, giving good views over the surrounding plains.[2] The first European to visit the rock was surveyor general John Septimus Roe who camped there in 1848. He used the col

On a weeks holiday driving around our beautiful state of WA grabbing GC and GA caches here and there.
What a walk, we parked picnic area and took the rock trail. For someone that is on wait list for total knee replacement early next year (and other knee to be done later) the walk up isn’t too bad. And what an amazing War Memorial with outstanding views, a lovely place to recognise those that fought for us to have a better future. The walk down was a bit slower than up with knee throbbing like mad, glad I already told my surgeon I do stupid walks like this
