This event is to celebrate 20 years of Geocaching in Australia, as well as enable qualification into the March installment of the 2020 Games of Games.
Lane Cove was hidden on the 18th May 2000 which made it the first geocache on Australian soil. Geocaching Australia had a small celebration in 2010 called the 10th Anniversary of Geocaching in Australia. 20 years after the first Australia geocache was placed we are now marking the 20th anniversary of Geocaching in Australia. To help celebrate the 20th anniversary of Geocaching in Australia, the 2020 team at Geocaching Australia have worked together to create the 2020 Game of Games rewards which are 12 monthly games based on finding and hiding geocaches at Geocaching Australia.
Due to the recent COVID-19 Pandemic I have created this virtual event.
When: 28th March 2020.
When: 0800 to 0900.
Where: Any where you want.
To log an attendance to this event all you need to do is add a photo of yourself doing what ever you maybe doing during the time of the event.
It might be caching, gardening, watching television, working, the list goes on. But lets try and keep it clean.

On the 28th March I was celebrating on a Zoom meeting commiserating with all the other geocachers who weren’t able to attend actual events on that day.

out and about the Rafas caching on a beautiful march day, TFTVE TNLN. a trip to the point and 1836 relic to boot this is where we were at 9 am.
According to the timestamp on the photo, at 8:24am I was out the front in my dressing gown on a fruitless search for my paper delivery. That's 2 weekends in a row it hasn't shown. But explains the dressing gown! Nice to be able to log a long distance even in these trying times. Thanks AbyDangles for hosting it, hopefully we can all be out finding some real ones in the not too distant future.
I am at work in my pharmacy. Thanks so much for creating a virtual event in these different times when social isolation is the norm.

Thank you AlbyDangles for this virtual event! At the time I was sitting in my armchair with my laptop, searching puzzles to solve, making lists of geocaches for when its safe again and attending virtual celelbration events 
I needed this logging fix. Hubby got me a nice takeaway cooked breakfast and we ate it at our lake (literally around the corner) before the picnic areas there got closed off.

Glad this event wasn't held yesterday afternoon or I'd have had to post a pic of cleaning out the chook boxes (in an attempt to get those freeloaders laying). Today I was in one of my favourite places, the vegetable garden... just me and the bees. TFTVE AlbyDangles - my last visit to Tasmania was 48 years ago, nice to be back even if it is virtually.

We are in 14 days quarantine having just returned, across the moat, from the mainland. It is a slow start to the day with breakfast being the main activity during the time of this event. So the attached photo shows Mrs y'stassie having breakfast and, because it is a celebration event, we have included a hot-cross bun with three candles (all we could find). My original plans for today was to fly to Sydney for my son's baby shower BBQ, and then travel with them to Newcastle to stay a few days.
When the requirements for isolation upon arriving back in Tasmania and then the cancelation of our flights we booked accommodation in Stanley for the four days.
That got canceled when the owner of the accommodation said he was shutting things down.
I then thought I could change my bushwalking plan or just go for a few day trips caching.
Well as you all know we are now not allowed to go bushwalking or caching.
So here I am just out of bed on my front porch looking at the mountain.

What is a 'normal' Saturday? Well geocaching with you is always excellent, sometimes kids sport, and sometimes dropping by Salamanca Market. As I was out this morning (needed to visit a pharmacy), I popped by Salamanca, and it was eerily quiet, so snapped a quick pic, looks a bit odd as its a reverse selfie!
Strange day, strange times.
Stay safe and well, and we'll catch up 'on the other side' but there's lots of ways to keep in touch.

I am gathering ingredients for creating a chocolate ripple cake, as I have a bottle of cream to use up and a spare packet of chocolate biscuits and chocolate to grate over it. I am not sure why I have a spare cake of chocolate but it won't be spare for long. I will add another photo later of the finished cake. TFTV. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GCA

Looks like we won’t be there physically either, and we won’t bring our brand new shiny things, which we now aren’t going to take overseas, with us either. So, see you all virtually! 
We were hoping to make it to a physical event but seeing as we will be away in the midlands with no chance to get to either of the events.

We had hoped to hold a physical event in SA but given health advice this is nolonger an option so we were pleased to see AlbyDangles' virtual event published and hope to be up in time to log an attend.
I plan to log a virtual attend as cancelled my own event due to the evolving health crisis. Thanks for listing.
