Online virtual catch up with the Gold Coast North Geocaching Group

NOTE: THIS VIRTUAL EVENT WILL NOT BE HAPPENING UNTIL SATURDAY THE 18TH OF APRIL AT 10am.

For the first time ever, due to the current worldwide epidemic, the Gold Coast North Geocaching Group will be hosting their very own online catch up from the comfort of your own home. The way we will be doing this is through Skype as it is absolutely free and can have up to 50 people at a time which will be awesome. If you dont know, Skype is owned by Microsoft, so if you have an msn, hotmail, live or outlook email account, you can use your email and log in to access Skype. If not just go to outlook, sign up for a free email account and use that to join us on the group chat.

The virtual catch up will be held on Saturday the 18th of April starting at 10am and finishing somewhere between, 11:30am/12:00pm. This will be a great way to share stories, have a cup of coffee or tea and see some familiar and maybe even new faces. Thank you for running my first Skype Geocaching event. It was great to participate. I haven’t used Skype for years and was pleased with the result.
I was able to log into the event with no problems, could always see the speaker, but in the end there was too much feedback coming through and warping the sound. I’m sure it will only get better once you sort out the wrinkles.
It was really beaut to see faces I knew and others that I had only seen on logs.
