Well, it's been 12 years since this was published and today the call didn't go begging and decided to head up the hill to the geocache and the TrigPoint at the top. A struggle to get up the hill being quite a warm day, but a few stops to rest every 100 or so granite steps and the geodcache was soon in hand.
Note that as others have mentioned this is not a 1/1 so today the site administrators have taken the action to increse the difficulty and terrain as the CO is no longer playing the game.
A geocache location well worth coming to visit.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today. It's geocachers who hide geocaches that make the game fun for everyone.
*Overall Experience: 4*

Found it today at around 10am with a 6yo tagging along beside me. He was a happy boy. Quite well hidden.

Found by torchlight on the way back down from performing maintenance and enjoying the sunset at what is arguably Victoria's earliest geocache.
The coords were a tad nebulous, but a search of the most obvious places came up trumps.
Haha... no finds for pushing two years, then a couple within a few days.
Thanks, crashmancory.

Lovely location, so glad i made the trip. TFTC!
Note to CO: container in near perfect condition.
Perhaps consider adjusting D/T to reflect actual effort required (eg 1.5/2.5)

After walking the East/West track and locating ThePacman's You Yangs Views caches Mrs Y'stassie headed off up the Flinders Peak track to find the caches up here. This was one of them.
Cache was located quickly and as she signed the log Mrs Y'stassie looked up to see a large eagle hovering almost above her. She watched mesmorised for some moments and of course didn't remember to get the camera out.
Cache and comntents were in good condition.
Thanks Crashmancory & lilo for a most memorable caching experience.

Haven't walk up here in 20 years.....and I think my legs could tell....
Arrived close to GZ and took to the bush and soon arrived at GZ...where the cache was soon spotted. A nice one....cool.
From there it was up to the summit for the views over a very overcast Melbourne and Geelong.....
Thanks for the cache crashmancory.....

Pleasant stopping point on the way to the top, good excuse for a rest and well hidden from passing traffic. The views are good from here, but keep going to the top, it isn't far.

More than 2 years since this cache was last found!
The climb up was great and we found a quiet soft place to sit and sign the log. The passing parade of walkers never saw us as we enjoyed a rest and then continued on to the top.
Cheers crashmancory, thanks for bringing us here.

Whoops, it seems I forgot to log this one (it is now 29/7/12). We were hiking up to the top of this hill to get the waypoint for the multi and this happened to be along the way. I seem to remember the GPS bouncing around a fair bit. I can certainly see how people would DNF, but we were lucky to come across it fairly easily. Thanks for a nice cache

HO HO HO - Hoo could find a better way to escape the "Commercial Christmas Chaos" than to be out in the bush geo-caching?
We were in this area a couple of months ago, but an appointment with Galileo prevented us getting to this cache. Today we found the cache easily and added our name to the log.

Nice hide. Enjoyed the walk to the top.
The eagle is very cool. Had to be quick to avoid lots of muggles enjoying the area.

After a total of 73 weeks unfound I can safely say this cache is safe in existence.
I have been spending the day at the You Yangs finishing of a few of the caches that I have missed.
I was going to skip this as the last 2 logs were DNF's over a year ago and no-one has even bothered to search here recently.
Glad I didn't!!!
Had to climb to the top anyway to complete a waymark and on the way I stopped and looked around and found fairly easy. The cache is well hidden and has weathered extremely well. No water issues.

A puzzling one. According to the GPS we were right on top of this one +/- 3m.
Checked all the clear hiding places in the local boulders but no joy.
Leaf/brush litter was deep but nothing seemed to come to hand with a little bit of rummaging.
Spent probably 30 mins on this before moving on. It's either a very clever hide, not there, or we are idiots
