"Origin" by Dan Brown. I haven't read this yet, but have read all the others*. I bought it cheap from an op-shop, apparently without its outer jacket. I've found his books real page turners, with the short chapters, quirky info (or dodgy info?), and constant cliff-hanging, but I hope it's not the same formula with a dramatic but expected twist at the end again. I've avoided any spoilers, we shall see.

TFTC! (Now to see what other's chose for their "O" !) Very HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery HappyQuestionClappingClappingClappingDancingEvil or Very MadTwisted EvilThinkThinkBrick WallWhistleClan Cerberus

* I just checked to see if he has written something newer, and it seems he hasn't. I guess he is perhaps enjoying his many millions instead.

I had a box of my stuff retrieved from my parents house this week. I found a book starting with O in it.

Outback Cooking in the Camp Oven.
By Jack and Reg Absalom.

I tell you what, there are some interesting recipes in there! If it has meat, it can be used. It also has the good old camel stew recipe in the front for fun. I'll add a photo of that too.

O is for Operation Red Jericho

I bought this and its sequel for my son after he devoured A Series of Unfortunate Events (12 books?). Unfortunately, as far as I know, he never read these. Maybe I'll pass them to my nephew in a few years, if my son doesn't want them.

Thanks and Happy Trails!

O - Old Mam's Ghosts - by Tom Llyod

17-May-20
This is a great read, I would recommend it to everyone

Birdsville is one of the most remote police postings in Australia. It can be lonely and uneventful for weeks, then the dramas come thick and fast- from desert rescues to rising floods, venomous vipers to visiting VIPs.

Throw in heat, dust and flies and it's not a job for the faint-hearted, unless you're Senior Constable Neale McShane, who has single-handedly taken care of a beat the size of Victoria for the past ten years. Recently retired from this 'hardship posting', Neale and his family thrived on the adventures and colourful times that come with the territory in the furthest corner of our country.

Yarning with friend and bestselling author Evan McHugh, Neale's experiences are humorous and heartfelt. How do you feed 4000 unexpected dinner guests? Where do you find a Chinook helicopter when you need one? Who's your backup when the population explodes for the famous Birdsville Races? And what do you do when you're the person the Flying Doctor is flying out?

Among these inspiring tales of danger and death, dreamers and 'dumb tourists', you'll encounter a little community with a big heart that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with a larger-than-life policeman who's become part of Australia's outback legend.

One day I will be able to go for a drive and find some caches… and that day was TODAY!!! Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin With the announcement that today some of the restrictions are lifting, I took the opportunity to go and find some caches… the only question was where. I decided on taking a look at the caches south of Henty. I didn’t find as many as I wanted because some of the roads are closed to public assess. However, it was so great to be able to destress and take a look further afield to other places in our great country. I made 7 finds plus on my way home I stopped off at BMG’s home to have a bit of a catch up. A great day out and when I got home I found lots of locationless caches. TFTC’s Big Grin

My O book is 'OPJB' by Christopher Creighton. A fanciful account of 'Operation James Bond' to capture and rescue Martin Bormann out of Berlin in the last days of WWII. I have included my well travelled HRC Bear and TB Roman to help identify me.
