Description

Another little know place, however in recent yers access has been made difficult by private properties restrictions.

This is technicaly on the rail right of way but 40m over the top of it so maybe not! Nonetheless this is a dangerous place to be.

I do have several photos of the Porch but right now I can't find them so I am using a photo from the Dingo gap site.

Most of the time the railway are working in the ten tunnel area so best to stay clear during these times.

This is a Virtual Event only.

Another place not seen by us on our travels.
And looks like an awesome place to view from nearby.
Will have to try to get there one day too. Wink
Thanks for another event,
Roostaman.

I thought I'd do some research before I attended the event because for the life of me, I couldn't get what the construction was about. And now I know. A fascinating build that clearly solved a problem and made a mysteriously awesome structure in the process. The most amazing place I've attended an event at... I'd love to see this. TFTE rogerw3

That's pretty impressive, I wonder why they built it instead of just blowing it up to make it safe? Another one for the bucket list, be a good spot to set up camp! That is if you didn't mind the coal trains rumbling past below. Thanks rogerw3.

Looks like a very interesting place, another to add to the "to visit" list.
Thanks rogerw3.

Well cannot say that I've been here before.

But it was fun to virtually catch up.

Maybe one day I will.

The first thought is How? What an amazing structure. Google Earth shows a freight train entering the tunnel or that's my interpretation. You are an expert guide of all things Blue Mountains. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. (My daughter just phoned so I pretended I was at the event & instructed her how to access GCA & the event - very impressed with the engineering & the fact that someone would even know such a thing existed).

There are just so many areas in the Blue Mountains that we need to return to explore in more detail. Thanks for the event rogerw3 for reminding us of many different and interesting places in the area.

The first though that comes to my head is HOW?! The view must be astounding, but I feel probably a bit to difficult for me to get too. Very cool I must say and looks like a good spot for a picnic!
