We all have our favourite movies. Tell us what your favourite movie beginning with J is !
If you have a copy of the movie a picture would be great !
One of mine would have to be 'Jaws' - the original 1975 film. Let's not discuss the 'sequels'... Jaws not only scared the jebesus out of me as a young kid, but it has also been a lot of fun to take the ride at Universal Studioes.

J - John Wick starring Keanu Reeves comes to mind as it was not that long ago that I watched it again. Before she died John's wife gave him a puppy. Thieves broke into his house, stole his classic car and killed his dog. John is after revenge.

Jurrasic Park is my J movie.
There are so many good movies in this series.
The original 1993 movie had a great cast including Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, Sam Neill & Richard Attenborough plus many more.

J – Jedda
Filmed in 1955 Jedda was a first in several ways; the first colour movie to be filmed in Australia and more importantly the first movie to star aboriginal actors. Ngarla Kunoth and Robert Tudawali starred in the Charles Chauvel film about Jedda, an aboriginal girl brought up by a white family on a remote cattle station. Not only is it Jedda’s story it is a very good commentary on the position of aboriginals in Australia in the 1950’s, white attitudes to the native people as well as the hardships experienced by the pastoralists in remote parts of the Australian outback. The scenery is amazing . Mrs y’stassie first saw the film as a student in 1964 then again when it was rescreened at the local cinema several years ago as part of a film festival. It has also been on TV. Well worth watching.

I haven't seen any Jumangi sequels but the original with Robin Williams is hard to top. Family entertainment, action and with a good open ending which I presume is where the sequels come in. TFTL fitzy_1965.

With a free day, I decided on going for another outing. This time I decided on collecting the caches around Condobolin because there was a possible FTF up for grabs. Just over two hours of driving, I found myself at GZ of the first cache I was attempting. After a long search, I was almost going to give up but something caught my eye. IT WAS THE CACHE but was the FTF there too… YES, I’m the only one to have found it. GZ is off but if you use your Geo-senses it’s not too difficult. Then I had a look around at the rest area and learnt a few things. After that excitement, I headed into Condo to continue my cache hunt. The next one on my list was the cache at the welcome sign. I loved the sign and as for the cache a quick find. I then headed out to Mount Tilga to find the cache out there. I parked the car at the bottom of the hill and walked up. Once up there, I decided on taking in the view and then try to find the cache. I found the cache and was on my way back to the car and I nearly tripped over. I regained my balance and took a look at what caused it and I found a Trigpoint Pin. I took a photo and a set of coordinates. (When I got home, I took a look into both active and archived trigpoints and discovered Mount Tilga (TP4879) which had the same coordinates. I have now reactivated that cache so others can find it too.) After getting down the mountain, I headed back into town for some lunch and to find the tigpoints around Condo. Then it was time to head home. Once I got home I logged my finds and got started finding GCA Locationless Caches to finish my day off. TB visit on all caches and all the required photos uploaded to my logs. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found for allowing them to bring me and others joy. TFTC’s and TFTLC’s!
Jumanji:
A magical board game unleashes a world of adventure on siblings Peter (Bradley Pierce) and Judy Shepherd (Kirsten Dunst). While exploring an old mansion, the youngsters find a curious, jungle-themed game called Jumanji in the attic. When they start playing, they free Alan Parrish (Robin Williams), who's been stuck in the game's inner world for decades. If they win Jumanji, the kids can free Alan for good -- but that means braving giant bugs, ill-mannered monkeys and even stampeding rhinos!
Johnny English:
Pascal Sauvage (John Malkovich), a villain intent on stealing Britain's Crown Jewels, has murdered the country's top undercover agents, and mediocre spy Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson) is ordered to prevent further mayhem. But even with help from quick-thinking sidekick Bough (Ben Miller), the goofy agent lands himself in one precarious situation after another. Only when he meets up with Interpol crime-fighter Lorna Campbell (Natalie Imbruglia) is Johnny able to chip away at Pascal's defenses.

Jerry Maguire is our choice here, starring Tom Cruise. Have this DVD.
Also like Tom in the Jack Reacher movies, in fact watched one only a couple of nights ago on normal TV.
Think they're getting desperate with no sport and playing old movies, some of them are okay to watch again though.
Thanks.

JFK...
An interesting look into one of the mysteries of the 20th Century. A lone gunman, 3 or 4 shots is 6 seconds, one bullet hitting 2 maybe 3 people? All from a person who wasn't a great shot. Yep, a touch of Hollywood and Kevin Costner story telling in it, but absolutely gives you something to think about. And the Costner character is still the only attorney to bring any actual charges to court over the assassination. Good movie.

John Wick (2014)
In my opinion, even though these movies aren't for everyone (they're full of killing and gore), this ongoing series of movies will eventually become a classic. The plot for the original movie is amazing - John's wife passes away of cancer and just before she does, she gifts John a new dog to remember her by. One night, some robbers from the crime underworld break into John's house to rob his car and tragically, kills the dog. But, what these robbers didn't know was that John Wick was a legendary, retired assassin; so John goes on a revenge quest to kill those who killed his dog. The later movies gradually build upon lore about the crime underworld and the lives of assassins and that's what I love the most about the series - the secret society which is explored is fascinating but also just absurd, which leads to some great humour throughout the trilogy. My friends and I always have a great time with these movies and I feel others here may too! Also, Keanu Reaves is a legend.

Jailbreakers is a 1994 television film directed by William Friedkin. Filming took place in Southern California and it was released on September 9, 1994. The film originally aired on Showtime as part of their Rebel Highway series that took the titles of 1950s-era B-movies and applied them to original films. The film was later released on VHS.
Plot
The film takes place in the 1950s. Angel is a 15-year-old cheerleader who has her life all ahead of her. She falls in love with Tony Falcon, a drug dealing high school drop-out. A nighttime outing leads to trouble and Angel and Tony are caught. Although Tony is the only one who is sent to jail, Angel has it very hard as well. She is estranged from her parents and her friends refuse ever to talk to her. The family think it is for the best for them to move to new surroundings.
Angel and her family move to a nice and quiet suburbia. She starts an entire new life and even falls in love with a new boy.[3] However, she is soon in trouble when Tony escapes from jail and interrupts her sweet sixteen. He takes her away from her family and together they try to escape to Mexico. A chase follows, with the police and Angel's father trying to catch Tony.

I am not sure that I could call any of my J films my favourite, but of the group of "Julie and Juliet", "Judy" and "Jane Eyre" I would have to rate the last as the most beautifully filmed, "Judy" as the most memorable and "Julie and Juliet " as the most entertaining chick flick type film.
