We all have our favourite movies. Tell us what your favourite movie beginning with K is !
If you have a copy of the movie a picture would be great !
One of mine would have to be 'Kelly's Heroes' - the 1970 film about a gold heist by US Army and German Tankers during WWII . Stariing Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas and Donald Southerland - it's a great story with a good music score. For those of you that have seen it - do you know its based on real events? It's worth checking out the wiki story on it.

We had to think a little for this one we decided up on Kinky Boots as an easy to watch movie.
K - K19 The Widowmaker is my choice. It stars Harrison Ford and is based on the true story of the maiden voyage of the Russian submarine K19.

Because I am not sure if I can get away with knocking the A off A Knights Tale, I've chosen Kenny. I love a good Australian mocumentary. Kenny is definitely better than Razzle Dazzle, and waaaay better than Head Above Water. But I can't help but laugh at these cringeworthy films. Kenny really is a winner though. I never even know who Shane Jacobson was before that. Now he can throw a party for his Dad with a bunch of celebrities and have the live music food and alcohol all funded by sponsors and Screen Australia by making it into a documentary.

K– Kidnapped
Like others have mentioned nothing really popped out as a favourite K movies but then we remembered Kidnapped. Mr y’stassie had seen the 1960 version in Hobart. This was the Disney version starring Peter Finch and James MacArthur. We saw the 1971 British version starring Michael Caine and Trevor Howard. Both films are based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s book by the same name. There are many other versions starting with a silent version in 1917. The latest Kidnapped movie has no resemblance to the book and is a foreign film psychological thriller. Thanks for this K cache in this series fitzy_1965.

Kung-Fu Panda was a great movie.
I enjoyed it because it reminded me of when m6 son used to earn money dressed in a full sized Panda suit as Pekoe the Panda on the local television program for kids. He used to get up to all sorts of antics during the filming of it, and whilst doing live in public.
Thanks for the memories fitzy_1965

HI Fitzy,
Our Favourite move sarting with K would be Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
A year after defeating Richmond Valentine, Gary "Eggsy" Unwin has officially joined Kingsman, having taken his late mentor Harry Hart's title of Galahad as well as Harry's old house, and is dating Tilde, Crown Princess of Sweden, whom he had saved from Valentine. On his way home from the tailor shop, he is ambushed by Charlie Hesketh, a rejected Kingsman applicant who lost his right arm and vocal cords during the Valentine incident. Eggsy evades Charlie and his henchmen in a car chase across London, but Charlie's cybernetic arm, severed in the skirmish, hacks into the Kingsman servers through the computer in Eggsy's car. With the information gained, Poppy Adams, the leader of the world's largest drug cartel, the Golden Circle

TFTLC Two of my favourite movies starting with K are: Kung Fu Panda & Kangaroo Jack
Kung Fu Panda:
Po might just be the laziest, clumsiest panda in the Valley of Peace, but he secretly dreams of becoming a kung fu legend. When the villainous snow leopard Tai Lung threatens Po's homeland, the hapless panda is chosen to fulfil an ancient prophecy and defend the Valley from attack. Training under Master Shifu, Po embarks on an epic high-kicking adventure as he sets out to thwart Tai Lung's evil plans. A DreamWorks animation.
Kangaroo Jack:
Two friends from Brooklyn (Jerry O'Connell), (Anthony Anderson) are forced to deliver mob money to Australia. Their misadventures begin when one of them places his red jacket on a kangaroo while attempting to snap a picture. When the kangaroo bounces off, they realize the mob money is in the jacket and are forced to give chase through the Outback.

Kung Fu Panda is a 2008 American computer-animated wuxia comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Paramount Pictures. It was directed by John Stevenson (in his directorial debut) and Mark Osborne, and stars the voices of Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Ian McShane, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, Randall Duk Kim, James Hong, Dan Fogler, Michael Clarke Duncan, and Jackie Chan. The film is set in a version of ancient China populated by anthropomorphic talking animals and revolves around a bumbling panda named Po, a kung fu enthusiast. When an evil kung fu warrior named Tai Lung is foretold to escape from prison, Po is unwittingly named the "Dragon Warrior", that was destined to defeat him.
The film was originally conceived by Michael Lachance, a DreamWorks Animation executive. It was originally intended to be a parody of martial arts films, but director Stevenson decided instead to make an action comedy wuxia film that incorporates the hero's journey narrative archetype for the lead character. The computer animation in the film was more complex than anything DreamWorks had done before. As with most DreamWorks Animation films, Hans Zimmer (this time collaborating with John Powell) scored Kung Fu Panda. He visited China to absorb the culture and get to know the China National Symphony Orchestra as part of his preparation.
Kung Fu Panda premiered in the United States on June 6, 2008. The film received positive reviews upon release. Kung Fu Panda opened in 4,114 theaters, grossing $20.3 million on its opening day and $60.2 million on its opening weekend, resulting in the number one position at the box office. The film became DreamWorks' biggest opening for a non-sequel film, the highest grossing animated film of the year worldwide, and also had the fourth-largest opening weekend for a DreamWorks film at the American and Canadian box office, behind all three Shrek sequels. A sequel, Kung Fu Panda 2, was released on May 26, 2011, along with a television series Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness premiering on Nickelodeon later that same year as a part of a franchise. A second sequel, Kung Fu Panda 3, was released on January 29, 2016.

Kingpin...1996 with Bill Murray and Woody what's his name. Remember screening this at the cinemas I worked in...and what a flop. Sort of funny, but certainly a flop at the (Australian) cinema.

Seen this movie twice and enjoyed it just as much the second time even though I remembered it well. Singing, good storyline, based on a true story and some really kinky boots! TFTL fitzy_1965.

Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)
Manners. Maketh. Man. This was a great movie which I saw for the first time on my flight between Sydney and Paris five years ago - for those who know the 'church' scene from this movie, you can imagine that I completely froze on the plane not only on shock, but somewhat also in appreciation at how well done it was. The movie had great acting from a range of legendary-status actors (Mark Hamill also has an interesting cameo) and it was just, you know, a really cool movie (but also very tongue-in-cheek)! The soundtrack is also tops! Haven't seen the sequel yet but am definitely going to try to do so soon.

I find it difficult to find a movie that I have seen whose first word starts with K, so I am ignoring "The" and going for "The King's Speech" which I thought was brilliant. It is the story in part of King George VI, played by Colin Firth, and his struggle to overcome his stutter with the help of a therapist, portrayed by Geoffrey Rush. Thanks for the cache Fitzy_1965

Sometimes when we just need some down time we like to watch a ‘froth and bubble‘ type movie and ‘Kate and Leopold’ is one we enjoy.
Released in 2001 it stars Meg Ryan, Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber and Brecklin Meyer among others. It is a romantic comedy.
Many thanks fitzy_1965 for this locationless

I think this series would be very interesting if it was crappiest movies starting with each letter, as some letters are going to be very hard to find a favourite!! K is a tricky one, we have Kalifornia starring a very young Brad Pitt and Juliette Lewis that wasn't too bad. Since I can't think of any others other than Knight Rider (2008) I guess this will have to do.
Thanks.
Thanks.
This one was easy - King Kong.
