Description
To log a find on this cache you are required to
- post a photo of a book that you have at home where the author’s name starts with the letter O
- the photo must be of the front cover and show the author’s name, not the spine as the author’s name is sometimes abbreviated on the spine
- the photo must include something on the book or next to the book which identifies you (eg pathtag, sign with your caching name etc)
For the purpose of this cache, the author’s name starts with the first letter. For example
- Enid Blyton starts with a “E”
- J. K. Rowling starts with “J”
- “S” is the first letter for the joint authors Susannah McFarlane and Lachlan Creagh and Lachlan Creagh cannot be used for “L”
- the author cannot be the editor; for example “The Penguin Best Australian Short Stories” edited by Mary Lord cannot be used for “M” as editors do not write the complete contents of the book they have edited
- ignore titles (such as Sir, Dame, etc); “U" is the first letter for Dr U Know Alot
Lastly, you cannot use the same Book Title / Author combination used to log any letter in the Book Title series. You can, of course, use the same author but of a book with a different title. For example if you used the book “The Valley of Horses” by Jean M. Auel for your “T” Book Title, you can used the book “The Mammoth Hunters” by Jean M. Auel for an author starting with “J”.
With those ground rules in place, you can start rummaging again through your books. By the way there will by just the 26 caches in this series (not many author’s names start with a digit!!).
Our example for this cache is Oded Schwartz who wrote "Preserving".

Thanks for the Locationless Cache
Thanks again for the series 2y'stassies....
I was lucky enough to visit his tomb when I visited France a few years ago.
The book is "The Picture Of Dorian Gray"
Hard to believe this book was written in 1890.
The book is fairly heavy for me but I did stick it out.

I couldn't find a book in my collection that was written by someone whose name begins with an O ... so, to enable to maintain my author name streak I've just bought one! I hope it's OK, though I'm not holding out too much on a book that only cost me $1.35.
Kate Hewitt wrote the second part The Sheikh’s Love-child.
Meredith Webber completed the trilogy with The Sheikh Surgeon’s Baby.
None of it appealed to me, I’m just glad I live in Australia and had my beautiful family here with my wonderful husband.
Set amidst South Australia's beautiful but isolated mid-north, The Railway Dog tells the true story of Bob, a scruffy brown stray, bought on impulse by a local railway man as a gift for his wife -- and setting in motion the beginnings of a legend...
Recognized near and far for his cheery bark, waving tail, and devotion to train travel -- Bob quickly became a beloved member of the tight knit railway community. Charming, humorous, and at times intensely moving, the adventures of Bob the Railway Dog, entwined with the lives of the fascinating people he meets on his journeys -- make for an inspiring and touching Australian story.

A kids picture book about a boy who found a penguin.
Haven't read it as yet but think it was one given to me years ago. TFTC
