Description
As a kid I remember the Neighbourhood Watch program being launched within our town. It was heavily promoted as a way of creating safe havens for kids, and supporting safe and caring communities. I hadn't heard much about it as an initiative over the last few years until I recently discovered a very committed neighbourhood right here in Canberra!
In order to log this cache you must take a photo of a Neighbourhood watch sign or sticker, and geolocate it (put the coords of where it is) or mention its location.
You may log this cache as many times as you please, as long as you only log each sign once.

Spotted this neighbourhood watch sign coming through Westbury the other day returning from a job.
Pulled over so I could grab a photo.

A very faded neighbourhood watch sign inTurners Beach.
I had one of these in mind but stopped at a different one on the way home today. This is in Clarence St and part of the Shoreline/Howrah watch.
Thanks Nibletricecakes

I was a Neighbourhood Watch house, and the sticker is still on our window, even though it isn't active in our area anymore.

Broken Creek, VIC
Now this one's in the middle of nowhere.
Just north of Benalla.
A quick stop on the side of the road.
Photo and on my way!

So many of these signs around when you start looking! Today we stopped at Carrick in Tasmania to look for a cache and there was a neighbourhood watch sign on the front of the Public Hall. Grabbed a photo while we were stopped there.

I remember my sister being part of this programme and having the sign on her front fence - it was certainly a wonderful initiative.
Thanks.

I wasn't aware of how many of these sign were about until I started looking. Found this one quite close to home.

I have been searching for these signs for a few months now. Not as popular as they once were. Neighbourhood watch has recently been reactivated in the Bargara area and I was driving past this one today. It is close to Bargara Central Shopping Centre and on a main route to the State School. TFTL

Hi Nibletricecakes
This sign is on a friends gate at Port Huon
Not only are they good friends, but they are AWESOME NEIGHBOURS
Unfortunately, one is very sick at the moment and I've been doing a little bit to help as best I can
BUT if needed, they'll be there for whoever needs to use this sign
That's how "Awesome Neighbours" they are!
TFTC and cheers

I had to go hunting for this bit of history because in a past life I was the local coordinator for my area (No 14) in Highton a suburb of Geelong. We used to give these engraging sets out for folk to write on or engrave their valuables. It was disbanded many years ago.
So this one is on my front door in Bunbury TFTC we have a great neighbourhood watch in our area. And my daughter and husband foiled a break in at a neighbour’s house. Caught the guy in the act and he ended up going to prison.
