Description
The Site:
The cache is located within the Craigieburn Grasslands which is a thin strip of land set aside for conservation between the Merri Creek and the new Hume Highway. Its managed by Parks Vic and is full of cool native grassland species. It suffers, like with many many other places, from weed infestations of Artichoke Thistles, Gorse and Serated Tussock (just to name a few) but its got some amazing species also.
Access to this part of the park is via O'Herns Road off Sydney Road in Roxborough Park. Go down the end and walk under the powerlines, across the ford, up the hill and you will come across a gate to your left into the grasslands. Watch for snakes in the warmer weather!
The Cache:
The cache is hidden amongst the rocks and is here more so for the site rather then the find. Its a great spot for a walk and a look around. Its a specially cammo'd container that i thought fitted... its namesake was probably not intending it to look like a native grassland grass as its not realy great cammo! It would much better fit in on a tennis court or the central australian desert.
Anyways all that aside it should be a nice stroll and an easy find.

The rain beat down.
What I thought was a good spot from the hint was covered in box thorn.
No excuse though sure it was just my bad search.
I'll keep an eye out and return one day.

Had been watching this cache for a while and just waiting for the chance to come and search. With over 3 Years of unlove, I was prepared to go home empty handed. Anyway I searched for about 15min with the cache description in mind, And was just about to give up when I spotted something that looked unnatural. And bingo the clever hide and cache were found. The cache is in excellent condition. It wasn't until I got home that I read the Hint. This would have made the search a little quicker. The cache description is a bit misleading, so go with the Hint. Signed the log and replaced as found. Nice grass land here and clear water creek running near by with happy frogs croaking with gusto.
Thanks TeamGeoPlesk
TFTC.
Signed log, hid back exactly as found

Just as I was approaching GZ it started to rain. I continued on and soon located the cache.
There was only a rubber frog and a pencil in the cache so I used a scrap of paper which I signed and place in the cache.
The cache container is missing a clip and will not close up; also it will require a new log book.

This version, however, ended up taking me a lot longer to find than its mate even though I was actually looking at the stash on any number of occasions.
Just as I was about to give up after 10-15 minutes of searching, poking and crawling, I realised that what I was looking at was the cache and not long after, I was finally signing the log at 14:50 to open its account for 2013.
Given that the 'hide' didn't actually match the hint, I replaced it in 'the hint', which was still at the indicated GZ. Apologies if I've done the wrong thing.
TNLNSL. Thanks TeamGeoPlesk.
A great winter's day for a walk.
Having visited the other cache, I struck a bee-line for this one, having discovered that no trail would lead me to my prize. The grass was flattened by wildlife in weird patterns, so the grass was fairly easy to pick my way through to GZ, where the hiding spot was the first place I checked... wonder of wonders.
Love the camo. It might not strictly fit into the environment this far south, but it would certainly not be obvious to the average muggle stumbling upon it.
Quite a good Autumn's day for a walk in the park.
I was really enjoying the walk and wanted to see what sort of container was employed here.
Nice one.
Thanks TeamGeoplesk
Very "interesting" cache container. Thanks for bringing me here.
TNLNSL
it was only a short walk from this caches nearby twin to get to GZ so you would think have having seen the cammo would be a bit of a clue on this one. I actually got to the point where the cammoed box was in plain view before I realised what I was looking at. Very clever.

Many thanks TeamGeo Plesk for this pair of caches
PS - Simply LOVE the camoflaged containers for both these caches out there.
First cache of the day and a first to find to boot. Yay me
The starting location is a little bit industrial but once you enter the date the sprawling grasslands take over very well.
Lots of rock on the ground along the way with many grasses growing between them. Not sure how many of these are native grasses but I did stop to peek at some lovely little clover like grasses with yellow flowers. Not something I recall seeing before.
A 10 minute easy walk from the car and I was at GZ where the cache was revealed in just a few minutes of searching. There are lots of places to check and once I got past the obvious, the less obvious revealed the cache.
Interesting cammo job
Made my log and at that point I headed off to Astro Cache Right to see what that one was all about.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thank TeamGeoPlesk for this GCA cache in the northern suburbs. It will be interesting to see what the find rate on the two caches are. I'm guessing much less on the GCA cache.
