I got this photo the other day of one of the excavators that are being used to upgrade the sidling part of the Tasman highway at Scottsdale. TFTC
My mother in law who is now 96 collected these whe she worked at KATO in the 1970's or 80's. These were the first things that popped into my mind when reading this cache
Spotted this digger while logging a locationless for a new subdivision. The land is for sale for $390,000 for a small block. The digger/excavator will be needed to replace the top soil that was just blowing away today! Found as part of the Cacheopoly games. TFTL

Excavator - Back Creek mouth - South West Rocks, NSW
This large excavator was working to keep the mouth of the creek open. Staying with a few mates & the workings of the excavator kept two of use entertained, having walked to the opposite bank. I looked up GE to get the co-ords & zooming in you can see the excavator.

When you have a narrow access beside a house to the backyard, and the plan is to build a grannyflat in the backyard, how do you excavate the area?
With a mini excavator of course!
With only a metre width, this mini excavator managed to squeeze down the side, and do an amazing job of preparing the site.

Hitachi Excavator at a site in the Bethanga residential area.
Spotted this floating excavator in Tea Gardens on north side of Port Stephens in NSW while staying in Nelson Bay on a weeks break. This is a dredge to keep the channel open in Myall River through to it's mouth into Port Stephens.

Out driving with my son the other day and he spotted this piece of excavation equipment so we took the required photo.
Funnily enough when we arrived back at our suburban home, there was one parked across the street from us.

This is some mining equipment from White Cliffs opal mining. The 'new' traditional kind, they also have some open cut opal mining there these days but most are still using those self made suction type machines.
Our older granddaughter was very excited when a "digger" moved in to commence earthworks for their new home in Crafers West in South Australia. At that stage she was fascinated by diggers of all varieties. That phase has gone and Barbie Dolls are now the rage. Thanks Gullivers Travels54 for the cache.
Not sure how deep it would get short term in a paddock.
But the helpful teaspoon will get me excavating jelly anytime.
Neat little trick to get round a bowl.

Sitting back after Covid restrictions lifted by doing Puzzles and locationless caches.
This is another nice one to do as well.
Found this one while roaming around for GC caches.
Thanks for the brain exercise and the cache,
Roostaman.

One excavator here is the local brush turkey, who has dug a few holes in the backyard. But as he wasn't around the last couple of days I walked up the road where they are building a new retirement village called Kokoda Residences. There are actually 3 of these digging holes in the ground at the moment. Thanks Gullivers Travels54.
These are our 2 excavators. They look like they've run out of diesel in the first photo but trust me they get to work as soon as your back is turned. They particularly make you pay if you leave them home alone!!!
And finally some reward for all the hours of repairing their damage.
Thanks.

There are so many hilarious logs for this one. I thought of a shovel but don't have a photo in my library and at this time of night 23:00 I am not going outside to take one, so it will have to be Pa's favourite toy at the moment. TFTL Gullivers Travels54

Hi Gullivers
Excavation is the act or process of digging, especially when something specific is being removed
Equipment is the necessary items for a particular purpose.
So my excavation equipment is a toothbrush
Let me explain:
It is the necessary item for the digging and removing the junk in the cavities of my teeth leaving only a hole as excavation often does. BUT, MY TEETH ARE CLEAN thanks to my excavation tool.
TFTC and cheers

Well I saw this one and went for a ride on my Bike up to the end of the street. There is a new housing development under way very close to us named Bargara Headlands Estate.
The current work is on Drainage and Street construction. Logan Road will go right through this estate and should be open by Christmas 2020. My new short cut to the Innes Park Bakery.
